Or are we going to brought back down to earth with a bang when the pretty boy schools the hitman?

My Heart says Hatton but the head is going for Floyd.

How do you think the fight will pan out come Sunday morning?

I think that would be a bit too optimistic Terry, but I'd settle for it!

I might have a flutter on a Earl / Hatton double, what do you reckon?

It just occurred to me that due to my annoyance at "Big Fight Overspill" i have totally neglected to comment on Hatton-Mayweather anywhere! I mean it is a massive fight but SKY in particular really do tear the arse out of it, i suppose though they have to sell their product.

Anyway.....i see this being a bit of a Duran-Leonard I scenario with Hatton pressuring out the victory. A question of interest, if Hatton wins, will there be a rematch? I am sure if he does Mayweather will hammer for one but if Floyd wins probably not. If Ricky is victorious, by any means, he should turn to Mayweather and say..."I'll fight you in England only" and make the cocky bastard travel. That would wipe the smile off his face.

ricky is faster closing the gap than chavez but mayweather is no where as good as whittaker.

To be honest Bob, I don't think Hatton nor Mayweather are as good as Chavez or Whittaker respectively.

I think both will win, but while I have a bet on Earl I havent on Hatton.

Yes there's a real possibility that Floyd's fast slashing punches could open up a bad cut on Hatton. You just know he's going to be aiming for those vunerable eyebrows, where he was cut so badly against Thaxton.

True, they have held up well over the years since, more than anyone could have predicted at the time ( remember how he got cut early in that low key fight in the US? )

There's also a possibility that rumours of Floyd's hand troubles are true. In which case, you really wonder how the hell he's going to keep a monster like Hatton off him for 12 rounds.

Don't have a clucking flu! Was just thinking 'outside of the box' and thought I'd chuck it in there!

Mayweather outboxes and ties Ricky up for the first 5/6 rounds before the body shots take their toll and Ricky comes storming back down the home straight to take the second half of the fight leaving Mayweather desperately hanging on in the championship rounds?

That would be a bit like Chavez-Taylor I suppose.

Maybe the other way round then I dunno!

I was just thinking, Hatton is about 3.5 to 1 to win the sports personality of the year.

If he wins tomorrow night he should also win that award so would it not be sensible to back the double, Hatton to win both the fight and the BBC award thus more than trebling the reward?
