very surprised that many people are going for ricky via body punch stoppage as the only fight that he has won at world class with a body shot was his last, and although it was an excellent body shot, castillo didn't exactly look fired up (or maybe it's is just me). when i say world class im talking: tszyu, collazzo, phillips, tackie, maussa and urango. if anything hatton is the one that has looked susceptible to body shots of late. i would be very interested to see if it is not floyd that gets to ricky with those straight jabs and right hands to the body.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
There great odds for what could be a close fight. Definitely worth a few bob.JCB123 wrote:Got 28/1 for the draw on Betfair, had a score on itStegsie wrote:

Still say Mayweather - on points. Called it weeks ago and despite being temped to go for Ricky I am standing by my original prediction.

My mortgage???!!! Groan, that sharpens the mind.
I've thought Hatton from the outset, always maintained it was 50-50 and the whispers further support that.
But I have an image of a forlorn Hatton with cuts and a closed eye, on his hands and knees on the front of the Boxing News next week.
However. It's not really my mortgage so....
HATTON 9th-10th or Points.

I had £30 on Hatton to win by KO (4/1) and £30 on Mayweather to win on points (11/ 8).
If Hatton wins on points I won't know whether to laugh or cry!
My reasoning on the above:
- There is more chance of Jessica Alba phoning me up for sex than Hatton getting a decision against PBF in the US (regardless of what "happens" in the fight)
- Hatton has the potential to stop PBF with just one good shot to the liver
- PBF is "unlikely" to be able to stop Hatton inside the distance. Hatton will be in the f**king zone like he was against Kostya, and won't buckle.
- If PBF wins, it's on points
So my main bet is Hatton to stop him, with a PBF decision as cover.

In fairness the promoter of the fight ODLH wants Hatton to win so the point argment don't realy stand.Loftgroov wrote:I had £30 on Hatton to win by KO (4/1) and £30 on Mayweather to win on points (11/ 8).

That's bull. There's no reason why the judges would want to give Mayweather a gift. Usually (but not always) when a fighter is given a gift it's because a) it's what the promoters would want/pay them to do or b) there's a partisan crowd cheering everytime their fighter throws a punch, whether it lands or not, and it can warp the mind of the judge.Loftgroov wrote:There is more chance of Jessica Alba phoning me up for sex than Hatton getting a decision against PBF in the US (regardless of what "happens" in the fight)
In this case none of those things would be likely to happen. In fact, if either of them occured, it would happen in Hattons favour. Golden Boy would prefer a Hatton win (as it lines up a winnable fight for DLH) and Hattons crowd are likely to be more in abundance and louder than Mayweathers.
