According to fightnews Danny Willaims came in at 270lbs for his fight with Oleg Platov. Just when you think he's got his weight thing sorted. Ah well - I suppose I gave up Danny a long time ago so Im not too gutted. Platov tko5?

Apparently you can earn some very nice paydays in Germany as the "opponent".

Williams brings a decent resume to this fight, and would be a good scalp for any up and coming heavy.

I think this is Danny's one last payday.

Thing is in germany they prefere more live opponents who they can then stich up with a decision thats why Micheal Sprott and Juliouse Frances did well.

Yeh indeed but I imagen for there shows they would rather a skilful live fighter rather than a fat lazy fighter which is why don't think he'll get many more fights like that.

Very sad really, I like Danny a lot, but I feared that this would happen given his long lay off since the Gammer fight. The thing is that Danny really doesnt want to fight anymore I think and he should get out now before he gets hurt...

When I heard he was fighting Platov I had a feeling this would be his last outing.

I don't believe for a second he viewed this fight as a potential move into the German based "opponent" category.

This is his cash out fight.Something to top up his already considerable career earnings

Still hoping he lands a huge right hand, just to see what this Platov is made of

I honestly think the scales were read wrong or something in Danny's last fight, their just seems no way Williams could have got his weight down to just 16-4 i think he was 17-4 and some incompetent person read it wrong or something. 17-4 is much more believable, didnt Williams say his bathroom scales had him at 18 stone before the gammer fight?

He doesn't really look to be 50 pounds more than Platov?

Lets hope they somehow got the weight wrong and an active will fight tomorrow.

Danny carries fat quite well, he never looks as big as the scales say - only when you compare pictures is when you can see he's piled on the pounds and the scales don't lie.

Danny for Danny does look about 2 1/2 - 3 stone heavier than for the Gammer fight. He looks in pretty poor shape.

Danny fat doesnt throw punches, he just moves about taking shots to the face trying to and the big one, which the opponent can see a mile away. Cant belive hes come in at this weight after comnig so low against Gammer. Hes put on bout 3 stone since the Gammer fight, what a fat fornicator, he must pouch like fornicate...

Yes, what an idiot. I didn't mean by saying he carries the fat well, that he fights well fat... He doesn't - but he doesn't look 20 stone when you see him in the ring - but the minute the opening bell starts - he fights like a man three stone overweight (even though he doesn't look it).

Yeah but look at the lay off he's had since Gammer, not that I'm making excuses for him, but he was unlikely to keep his weight down while being inactive for so long, I always feared that the next time he entered the ring it would be 'big' Danny again. Its so frustrating with the talent that he has got... he really shouldnt be fighting if he cant get into decent shape anymore. I think the fact that he was unsure about fighting on after the Gammer fight said it all really, Danny just doesnt want to do it anymore...
