I personally wouldn't recomed the Jordan's. They are fine for 4 2 min rounds but they soak up alot of sweat in long workouts and heavy. I have Adidas, they are the best.

Most of the Jordan's used at the Trials fell apart. I saw several where the bottom had come unglued.

agree, i have fought wearing nike, ascics..(spelling)
ringsides, never owned the jordans....
but the real high cut adidas are the best i have ever owned
espicially if your a boxer puncher who like to use the ring,
the heal feels slightly elevuated even when your standing flat.

Adidas stopped making several models that were great, but some of their new stuff is also pretty nice.

The cost of the Jordans were way too much for my poorness. Even some of the Adidas were up there for me. I settled for the Nikey boxing/wrestling shoes and they've done me good so far.

Ringside's shoes were nice and inexpensive, but alas they don't make them anymore. I wish they would bring them back.

Pony is the shoe they need to bring back. I have still never found a shoe as good as those were.

Ron - the Pony's were good, but they were heavier than the Adidas shoes. The Pony's were very durable though.

The old school leather ones were very durable and would last forever. The lighter nylon, canvas, suede, etc ones were "boxer" shoes as they were so light. Ali didn't seem to have a problem with the leather Everlast's though. He was able to float like a butterfly while wearing them.
