This is the concern for me.

How much of the Mayweather jab will Hatton have to take on the way in. I can envisage PBF holding his feet at times (as Hatton comes forward) hitting him with well timed jabs (throwing Hatton’s balance off kilter) as he adjusts his feet and follows up with a right hander then disappears out of range.

Hatton will have to show a lot of slip and lateral manouver to get PBF in position to unload and keep him there – thus having to work harder than PBF. No doubt, Hatton will have his moments but for how much of the rounds and for how many is another question.

I have went with a Mayweather win all along and can’t go back on that, but if Ricky does the business it would be a truly exceptional achievement and I would be more than made up than usual because of it.

COME ON RICKY.

Not really If he has his own opinion.

To be honest he doesn't have a chance. Howcome people will give Hatton a chance against a true talent but gave average guys like Kessler and Lacy a chance against a true talent like Calzaghe? :o
That's just a stupid post Max. Hatton is the undisputed champion at 140 lbs. Mayweather hasn't fought anybody above 140 lbs who would be natural at that weight, except an inactive DLH. To say he has no chance is a bit thick from somebody with 6000+ posts. He may not win, but he's not favourite too, but of course he has a chance. Neither Lacy nor Kessler were undisputed at their respective weights.

fornicate you, just because you think It's stupid and thick doesn't make It thick.

Take off the rose tinted glasses and study technique and don't look at a resume.

My point was some are basing there predictions off paper and seem to have a double standard when It comes to Hatton, who has been mediocre since Tszyu and will be found out tonight.

There also basing predictions based on FLoyd having trouble with pressure guys but they had defence when they pressured him unlike Ricky.

I agree wholeheartedly that Calzaghe has more talent, and is the better boxer, even though Hatton has achieved more thus far.

Correct me if I'am wrong, but you impled Hatton is average.
I'am afraid that is completely unfounded and sounds like a bitter, cheap shot :TU:

Hattons style is nothing like that of which Gatti adopted that night against Floyd. Wide stance making his mobility non-existent and no speed to cut the ring down nor get out of the way of Floyds shots. Its almost as if the consentus was to make Gatti a sitting duck and get over Floyd for destroying him with that gameplan.

I agree that Calzaghe is the better fighter but Hatton is not without a chance.
