What does Ricky do after this fight win or lose......

Post by Boxingmad »

If he wins...

Is it more likely to be De la Hoya or Cotto? Cotto would seem to be the better draw as he's undefeated, great style to watch and a huge draw. A DLH fight doesn't have the same clout (or does it?)

If he loses...

Would a DLH bout be a more viable option as both fighters have losses and want to get back up there, or would a Cotto match-up still make good business sense?

No one is a bigger draw than DLH. The man on the street knows who DLH is but nobody knows who Cotto is if you quizzed the first 100 people on the street.

Win - De La Hoya will be the big money fight though he should fight Cotto. I expect he would choose De La Hoya as Cotto would destory him

Lose - Hard one. De La Hoya fight would still do big money. The average person would probably still watch but for the boxing world it would mean little. Witter would do big money in the UK. Margarito, Williams, Malignaggi or Cintron wouldn't mean much for the average person.

I think the most important thing is if Mayweather wins he fights Cotto.

What street do you live on..?

Nobody on my street, or probably any street in my town, has heard of Oscar dela Hoya.. or certainly ever seen him fight..
