if joe doesnt fight b-hop now

Post by boxerbob »

then he is a coward

he has sat on his throne fighting c - class fighters for 10 years with the exception of kessler and lacy , and even they werent great.

joe go to america and fight b-hop , he wants the fight , more importantly we want the fight.

please dopnt wait till hes 44-45 so it betters your chances , you should have fought hinm 5 years ago if you were serious anyway.

can you not see the irony in what you said? if Calzaghe spent 10 years vs "C-class" (a vile generalisation) then so did Hopkins.

also, it wouldn' matter if Hopkins was 44-45. At 42 or 43 he can only circle, head butt, maul and maybe throw in a 1 punch counter or two every round.

Apparently this is "pure boxing" and makes him "still great." As if.

What? Kesller isn't that great? In my opinion, Kessler is a hell of a fighter, which shows how great Joe is himself. I would love to see Lacy fight Kessler, that would be a pretty good fight. Joe has beaten 2 undefeated champions, and still keeps his 0. Hopkins is old and too slow for Joe. I think Joe deserves a good deal for this fight against Hopkins, since the whole country of Wales will probably watch this thing.

Picking Kessler to beat Hopkins is hardly stretching credibility. He managed to lose twice to Taylor.

Yes but at 35 BHOPs was a complete different kettle of fish. Just watch the Trinidad and Glen Johnson perfromances. I think that version would beat Calazage

For the last 4years hes been a pot shot artist and managed to get away with that. So from 2004 onwards no way BHOPs beats Calazage hes just slowed down too much

Now BHOps is 43/44 and will lose to Joe who isnt far removed from his prime at 35. Its not really a fair fight. Pity it didn't happen in 2002

Hopkins had 2 goes at beating Jermain Taylor and couldn't.

I'd rather see Calzaghe against the man that could - Kelly Pavlik.

Joe a coward, dont for Christs sake make that comment in Wales - I can remember Joe pleading with a prime Hopkins to give him a chance - Hopkins reply was that Joe should wait in line because there were others with a better chance of fighting him - Dont worry Joe wants the fight badly, far more than Hopkins does - Kessler and lacy were both unbeaten and Joe wasnt expected to win against either, by most, but he did - Why do you make such comments - We are all entitled to an opinion but slagging off a British fighter, a proven great, and saying Kessler and Lacy were nothing special is just insulting world champions who deserve more respect.

calazage a coward? hopkins is the one who pulled out of the fight going back a few years, if this fight happens it would be so one sided for Calazage for it to be a fair fight it should have happened years ago but hey id still love to see hopkins get his ass kicked

You are kidding right? Kessler is in his prime, he would beat old man Hopkins, soundly.
