Don't forget Elcock tonight
Can Wayne beat Abraham? its a hard task , but not impossible.
Alot seems to focus on Waynes loss in a round to Murphy, which may point to a weak chin, but Elcock has also gone 12 rounds with hard punching Scott Dann, Anthony Farnell and Howard Eastman. So maybe the Murphy result was one of those freak ones.
Elcock has very good skills and a decent punch, can he keep up a good workrate against a champion who although not the most skilled is probably the strongest middleweight in the world.
Abraham has proven to be a tough and durable champion, he proved this against Edison Miranda. I don't think that Abraham is the biggest punching middleweight, but he seems to carry his strength into the late rounds.
I'd love Elcock to win, and set up some big money fights, but i think Abraham will have a bit to much of everything, and stop Elcock in the last third of the fight.

Good topic, i was considerinf the same myself. Any other time Wayne would have got the press for his foreign mission. Shame he is to be eclipsed because if he pulled this one off it would be a great victory. I think he can do it but he needs to hurt Abraham (who blows an bit in the middle rounds but comes on strong late) as if it's close the win is only going in one direction. Good luck Wayne. What time does this one start?

C'mon Mad Dog - Bring the title home!
He is a long shot alright and rightfully the underdog but he is always in fantastic nick and if he can keep his boxing at long range and not get drawn into a fire fight he can beat this guy.
Abrahams is teak tough but has poor movement and blocks rather than slips shots. Elcock just might be able to turn the trick here.
Will he get a decision if he deserves it though? Hard to imagine him getting the nod I must say.
Anyone know how we can see this one live? I would love to follow Wayne's bid for glory - its the biggest fight outside of Vegas this wkend in my opinion.

Just a reminder that Abraham squeaked by Eastman - basically Eastman had control of Abraham but blew the fight by not throwing enough punches in the last half of the fight(story of Eastmans career). It was still mighty close and it exposed the weaknesses of Abraham. Of course Abraham is a big favourite but hopefully Elcock will do himself justice and put in a good performance. I give him a shot and at 12-1 I cudnt resist Elcock on pts! C'mon Wayne!

Really can't give Wayne much chance here, Abraham is a crafty and relentless operator, and good puncher too. That jaw is a question mark now, but he'll catch up with Wayne at some point, and Elcock will need the performance of a life time to pull this off.
AA is warming up in the dressing room right now.

Waye reestablished his jab after the bad second round and kept circling but Abrahams was looking strong and started to walk the Brummie down.
A left hook on the ropes froze Wayne half way through the 5th, his upper body ended up through the roipes and he received a standing 8.
Abrahams moved in for the kill and a series of right hands and left hooks froze Wayne in the upright positio - the ref moved in for a perfectly timed stoppage/

Well done to Abrahams, commiserations to Wayne - you still did our city proud mate. Chin up and come back to clear up the domestic division!
