they didn't they said he should fight a similar type of Mexican. Thats fair enough a hard jurnyman who is in his face would teach him something.

Sensational is the word, if you're gonna be a world champ that's the type of explosive win that sets you on the way. Earl was a live one, but never had a chance - he maybe landed..what, one punch? Obviously not a sturdy as he once was, but those shots would have put him in trouble at any time. Similar to the way Haye took out that dangerous punching Russian...if you're in there with a puncher, take him out quick.

Excellent win, Khan is going to be one hell of a fun ride to watch. Let's just hope FW continues to step him up.
Match him with the loser of the Mitchell/Johansson shoot out next year?

Khan's power is improving and bloody hell, talk about accurate. His timing was awesome for so early on in the fight. He didn't miss a shot. Anyone who said it was too early... don't bother applying for your ref's licence!!! Earl was cowering in a corner almost sitting on the bottom rope not knowing where he was or how to get out of the way of it. Caught cold, it happens.

Thaxton next please Mr Warren.

Remember this lad's only 21. He's earning a fortune and should be guided progressively. We don't want someone so talented having to fight out of his skin to win world titles and burn out by the time he's 25 ala Meldrick Taylor or Fernando Vargas, but become a dominant champion who's going to succeed in the long run.

the board must prevent earl from fighting again. he has a seriously affected brain if he thinks the ref jumped in too quick. khan looked very good. balance and distance and good instinctive power. he has finally won me over.

Silly comment to make though, he needs to sort out his guard irrespective of his power.

Absolutely, the chin wasnt tested last night - A poor chin in world class fights is dodgy, even with better defense, you are still going to get hit no matter how good you are.

im still a doubter, if khan does that to thaxton then ill be a believer, surely thaxton must be the next fight. if it is not then FW is a criminal...

Stewart who was your basic fundamental type boxer gave him fits and made It close until Thaxton landed a good punch.

Khan would destroy Thaxton within 5.

Do you not think that Khan may be suseptible to "a good punch" which thaxton can land. This is the precise reson Khan needs to stop leaving his chin out when he throughs left hooks, ether move the right hand accross or get it behind his sholder. If the fight hadn't been stopped and earl had been alowed to continue that would again be because of a problem with Khan's style as he again rushed in too close to finnish the job he needs to stand off and deliver clean work had he done so then Earl would have gone down again.

The fighter I saw last night has world class power world class combinations and world class speed but with the same ametre flaws people have been pointing to hither to this point. If he could clean them up then he is in with a chance against anyone but just cos he won this without being hit doesn't mean he would be able to do the same with Juan Diaz.

Put him in against a hard nut mexican or easten european who doesn't go down, or a slick fighter who counters off the ropes and he is potentialy in trouble and his team should have delbt with this by now and the fact that they haven't suggests to me that Oliver Harrison may not be the best man for the job.
