after reding some of the british press reports you would have thought that hatton took the beating of his life , just like lacy vs calzaghe.
hatton was hit by 132 punches in 10 rounds.
around 12-13 punches a round , that aint a beating.
saying that though , how good is mayweather when he was only hit 63 time in the fight...6 times a round against a good pressure fighter like ricky
hatton did not take a beating vs mayweather

Re: hatton did not take a beating vs mayweather
He did take the beating of his life. What other beating have you seen him take? Hatton looked like he was at risk of getting knocked out before he got caught with that "check hook". At the end of the fight he had nothing left and couldn't even keep himself up as the ref stopped it. I don't think it was the type of punishing beating that severly affects a fighters career but it was certainly a beating.boxerbob wrote:after reding some of the british press reports you would have thought that hatton took the beating of his life , just like lacy vs calzaghe.
