I don't think it actually helped Corrie Sanders boxing reputation
that simutaneously during the 1990s there was another
heavyweight boxer named Corey Sanders from America,
who seemingly use to loose
about his every other fourth fight.
I know I was confused for some time, whever I read boxing results in the newspapers and thought it was Corrie Sanders who had lost.
That was before the inter-net when you could instantly check
up on up coming fights and results.
a lot of uninformed members of the public and im sure a lot of boxers,
their managers and trainers and fans
were confused too.

If they confused him for a journeyman, why were they all avoiding him?

Because they didn't want to take any chances?

Sanders had lots of faults, and you bring up some good points, but chinny???

Sure he got caught cold with a peach of a punch. Once. I suspect anybody would have suffered badly with that punch.

Plenty of rather good heavyweight champions throughout the ages suffered something similar.

Perhaps this may be one of Sanders fights that the dissers put fourth as "evidence".

Yeah,Corrie Sanders was good , real good.
Possibly one of the best natural boxers with an instinct for fighting as far as the big men go.
although he seemed to have passed over some fundemtals that may have improved his game though I think possibly.

looks like many if not most of Corrie Sanders fights that were posted on youtube when this thread was first started
have since been removed from youtube due to presurre from the Sanders dissers who probably dont want the genral public to know
how good he really was.

Sanders was 32 going into the fight. Czyz was 36, had not fought in two years and never beat a decent heavyweight. Not exactly a big win for Sanders.

Sanders was a unique type of talent. I can not think of one 6'4" man that had both better hand speed and better power. A southpaw with many early stoppages on his resume.

I think the sad part has Sanders lacked the promotional ties and American or UK-based trainer for a better career.

Because he was Good, Dang Good (IMOP)but was never able to prove it in his prime.
He was supposed to fight Michael Moorer when Moorer became champion as his first title defense but his trainer chose
(probably unwisely) George Foreman.
