I think we will agree to disagree on that.

Irish sport works better on 32 county All-Ireland basis, thats been proven time and time again. Just look at the Irish amateurs, the IABA work on a 32 county basis with Team GB governing Scotland, Wales and England. It works better for all.

The BBBoC and Hennessy are going to see a real backlash over this and havent really thought it through. I'll be supporting the BUI if the start to organise on a 32 county basis from now on. If the BBBoC also want to govern the area in tandem then fire away.

p.s. you ignored the question in the post.

I can't answere it you are right with the point you are making, I do think they should drop the title and stage a 12 rounder with judges if no agreement can be made.
I do feel either way this fight needs a strong experienced ref not the likes of David irving.

Are you a BBBoC licenced ref or associated with the BBBoC?

I've seen Irving ref a few Irish title fights and he did a pretty good job. In fact, didnt he ref the last ever BBBoC Northern Ireland title fight?

Neither but i do think the BBBof C do a good job overall.
I have never been impressed with Irving but just feel the ref needs to be experienced for this fight.

Agh right, its just a lot/most of your posts are about various refs and the British board.

Irving has reffed about ten previous Irish title fights before, what more experience would you need.

A lot of the British refs I see week in week out dont handle the ring as well as Irving. Look at Dodgy Daves handling of Rogan's first fight in Belfast with Sexton. That doesnt exactly inspire me with confidence about British refs.

Yeah thinking more of reffing big occasion fights like this one more than the title.
I used to be a board inspector but a few years back now.

So is it still up for debate amongst the opposing sides or has it been agreed yet what distance the fight will be over, or can the Irish board make the decision that it stays
over 10?

Not sure whats happening now, I think it looks like if they still want to fight for the Irish title it will go the way of the BUI.

I've a feeling that the BUI will tell them to go and shove it and the fight will be for the little used BBBoC sanctioned Northern Ireland title.

We shall see. I am sure the Irish board could do with the sanctioning fee but not at the cost of being ass-raped by the British board.

Maybe this is the British boards why of getting back at Fury for dropping their title.

Don't thing Fury will be eligible to fight for the Northern Area title, not sure but think you have to be licensed in that area

Simply a matter of changing your address to somewhere in Northern Ireland and saying you are based there isnt it?

The BBBofC are at it again. They should be trying to keep a low profile at the moment, not causing trouble.

Northern Ireland is a part of GREAT BRITAIN.

What is the National Anthem of Northern Ireland? God saved the queen.

What currency is used in Belfast?

Pounds sterling.

Get used to it as it will never change.

Still discussing the distance on this one apparently, how crazy is that two days before the fight and no one knows if its 10 or 12 rounds!

Unreal. I would have thought the BUI would have agreed to tv demands of a 12 rounder just to have their title on national tv

Erm the six counties are not in Britain. Britain is the island next door. Think you mean the UK there, have a wee look at the passport and read what it says on the front. Plus NI doesn't have an anthem as it isn't a nation.

Oh dear oh dear! Someone needs both a geography and a history lesson.

"God saved the queen" isn't even the British anthem, so an English lesson might be helpful for him too.

Back to the point of the original post!
Rogan has been quite inactive and he doesn't exactly rely on foot speed and reflexes so I just hope he comes in fit and pumped as I would dearly love him to KO the fraud that is Fury.

I always thought technically it was the British (in the sense of UK/Great Britain and Northern Ireland) anthem but the English one was Land of Hope and glory, but confusion always reigned because (apart from at the Commonwealth games) God save the Queen is always played as the English one.

Rogan has a chance in this one, after the Pajkic and Firtha fights. Even at this stage he is better than the two of them and they gave Fury a lot of problems. The problem is, Rogan quit IN BELFAST vs Sexton in the 6th round so I think this will be a bit too much for him. Fury has decent stamina. The Rogan of the audley or Skelton fight wins this but I don't know if he is that good anymore. It's an interesting fight for sure.

Fury did look a bit jaded in his last couple I thought but Rogan should bring out the best in him as surely he will attempt to make Fury fight. It will be interesting to see
the weights when they are out, wondering if they sorted out the distance in this one, don't see how its for the Irish title if its been upped to a 12 round fight really, although after
the argument about the distance the other day its gone quiet with no one really seeming to know.
