Cant argue with the draw i thought McKenzie nicked it 115-113 im just glad he wasnt royally whitewashed on the cards and his work was appreciated in Argentina,a lot of close rounds,Ramirez is bull like but so basic and 1 dimensional but he is strong and the harder punches came from him but i thought for the most part Ovill boxed his ears off,showing great foot work and movememnt and a good jab,switching occasionally to befuddle Ramirez,and his conditioning was first class

All the more impressive seeing as McKenzie came in a 11 days notice and travelled halfway across the world to the champs backyard,he should be proud of himself and maybe in a neutral venue he wouldve got the nod,hopefully theres a rematch

It was one of those fights I thought could have been scored wide to either fighter, depending on what you preferred. Personally I thought Ovill's good jabbing and more accurate punching just nicked it over Ramirez's constant going forward and more clubbing punches. Well done to Ovill on a career best performance. I have to admit I didn't think he deserved a world title shot but he proved me wrong. I don't think Ramirez will be champ for long.
