Freddie flintoff is on Johnathon Ross tonight at 10-45pm. I have a funny feeling he will announce a comeback against David Price.

Unfair on Price even being mentioned in the same breath as Flintoff!

Should frank get the green light to box again?

Anyone in last 5 pages suggesting otherwise need to have a long lie down.

I was thinking EXACT same thing here. Seem everyone GANG UP ON HIM. Maybe he isn't working full speed in the training video!
I dont think anyone is 'ganging up' on Bruno. Here in the UK he is a legend but facts are facts. Frank is ill and should be regarded that for his own safety.
Then, "take care" with the match! Flintlock exercise??

Leave Flintoff alone!

He's one of a handful of fighters to retire undefeated!

Let him bask in glory & enjoy his retirement. :TU:

Flintlock unknown in boxing entirely! He done "Okay" his 1-0. But......I couldn't imagine him against David Price. Vs Frank, IF FRANK SO MUCH NEEDS THIS "Protection"..O.K., "go for it"!

Bruno is bipolar, and it is likely his condition went undiagnosed for many many years, as symptoms of bipolar often present around adolescence, but can be mistaken for other disorders.

He's not going to recover, medication, exercise and therapy will help, but people don't grow out of being bipolar.

Why under posting names does it have boxing weight categories?

Using weight category's to show how long you have been a member.

Back in 2003 before the mental health breakdown, Bruno was talked about returning to fight which I thought was silly then, that was over 13 years ago!

It won't happen 100% - so there's no more point in talking about it

the thing is if Bruno gets to the position in the boxing ranking where he could get hurt what does it say about boxing rankings.

Tim Witherspoon, Tony Tucker and Riddick Bowe have all been in the UK boxing exhibitions on EBF shows, would this satisfy Frank's competitive urges I wonder?

Big gloves, short rounds against 'respectful' opponent should mean he (and the opponent' don't come to any grief.

I'm all for doing what you like, sod what people think, BUT he's got issues with his eyes and well documented mental health problems then add on his age. If he really wanted to compete then I say good luck to him, but I can't see the Gods that be allowing it.

Having said that, in his prime I think he beats all the UK Heaveyweights today & in the 000s AJ, Haye, Audley, Fury, Danny Williams. Bruno had seriouse punching power; just look at his KO percentage. Something like 99%. When Frank did lose he lost to the cream of the top (Tyson and Lewis ect).

Big Franks career was built on him fighting easy opposition that's why he had a big KO percentage?

Absolutely right.

For all Bruno's much vaunted power, he barely made a dent in any of the world class opponents he fought, let alone knocked them out.

A truly world class puncher will always have some world class scalps on his resume.

Hmmm. I think buckling Tyson in the first round in 89 more than speaks for Bruno's power. He was clearly a big hitter.

An unmotivated, untrained Tyson who was going through all sorts of trouble outside of the ring was almost guarenteed to have a sub par performance.

As the other poster said, who did he dent at world level, true world level. Looking though his record those fighters would be smith, witherspoon, tyson, lewis, mccall, debatably Ferguson as a good chin, (even though Bowe had just him, he still stretch Mercer and beat him in one fight), Pierre Coetzee was ok, but the rest were either below world level or washed up.

He had power but timing, speed and snap was not there

Precisely. Tyson had a great chin too.

Bruno didn't lack power, it was that he was predictable, and world class operators don't just stand there and let you hit them, they anticipate what is coming, and either slip it, or they take the sting out of the punch.

Frank Hurt Tyson badly, but he was unable to land a single significant follow up punch, against lesser opponents, once he hurt them, it was goodnight Vienna.

This is an exaggeration..... People remember the moment with too much nostalgia and this warps people's remembrance.... Due a lot to the 'get in there Frank' commentary and the fact that at the time Tyson was considered impregnable.

The reality is that Bruno hit Tyson with a near perfect shot, and made him stagger *slightly* but apart from that half second, Bruno effectively copped a beating from a largely troubled and unmotivated Tyson....

jamesmcdonnell, thank you for your reply. YOU/ tobyh5 -&- reggaereggae seem like "good team"!
: ) "Honestly!"
Since I am NOT in England..I can't know really to what extent "ALL THIS TALK (HERE) IS ABOUT ABOUT FRANK being -bipolar- & s.o!......" but...one thing that the arbitrators SHOULD BE LOOKING AT IS THAT MAN HIMSELF! &..if I was on that board I would be asking him questions, LIKE..How far he sees this going for. Stuff like that!
They probably have a few Doctor types present.
I never know hides nor heels about FRANK BRUNO have "mental health issues" until I read about that here! What does his FRIENDS SAY about him?
Maybe his CIRCLE is TOO BIG & he CAN'T RELATE TO EVERYONE AS HE LIKE and it tend to have him come off looking like a "Talking Horse" [you know, like MR. ED the Talking Horse Show. You have that in England, too?]
He could definietly WIN-A-FEW FIGHTS! They probably like to make him against Riddick Bowe and/or Razor Ruddock!
