I'm sure Greeny won't be wanting to go 10 Rounds, otherwise he would have chosen McCracken Pitt Aloua Flanagan or Broadhurst
Where did I say Watts is the best cruiserweight in Australia

If people don't say what you want to hear you just make it up :OhYes:
Well ur assuring us he is the Australian Champion like he is something
Watts was the Australian champion. That is fact. Twist it around any way you like but he held the title.

Note also that Russell is the current champion.

40 or 38 ? Need a calculator ur self
Watts is 33. Green is 43 and an old hack according to you.

Obviously the maths was too challenging for you so I'll help you out 43-33=10

Green is 10 years older than Watts.
Tarver was 42 Green 38 not 40 when they fought, 5 years difference
I don't care how old Watts is he's a pretender that's getting Kod or lies down

Russell the champion just shows us the credibility of the Title, it means nothing
The title is vacated, Green vs Watts is for the Australian Title, it's being promoted so on Ticketek

I have no interest in Green or him fighting Mundine, Green is only worried about his bank balance not the sport, this was evident when he dragged Briggs out of retirement
People should be behind supporting real fights not this sham, for the better interests of the sport. But too many people are too obsessed with wanting to see a white guy Ko an aboriginal

There's no such thing as bad publicity in boxing. Surely you know that. Some of the biggest names in boxing filled stadiums with people who went hoping they would get to see them knocked out. Boxers love people promoting them whether they are saying good things or bad. So you are promoting Green's fight here whether you like it or not.

You have a huge interest in Green. You write about him incessantly. Nearly half the posts in this Green thread were made by you.
Only interest I have is to enlighten fellow boxing fans
I know how this forum works, Mundine bashers are welcome, but not an ill word can be said about Danny Green, so many Green nut huggers hang out here & they go out of there way to defend what he does
You will not change anyones mind here about Danny Green here mate. They will defend anything he does or anything he says. Look at what he says and what he does.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing/gree ... 1115882185

But after wrestling with his decision for hours, he said he was happy and content.

"You won't see me come back. I am turning down millions and millions of dollars,'' Green said.

"My decision is not financially based, it is based on myself, my family and friends and what I have to offer the community in the future.

"A lot of people will think I am crazy, but a lot of fighters stay in the game too long and that is not going to be me.''

With the Garay fight off, the much talked about rematch with Anthony Mundine - which would have brought both men monster paydays - also won't eventuate.

"It would have been nice to go out in front of 20,000 fans at Burswood with a massive rematch but it is not to be,'' Green said.

"All I would say to Choc is keep your chin down and look after your health because it is a very tough sport ... and thanks for a great rivalry, because you have made the sport so much more exciting.''
Retiring for his health so he doesn't stay in the game too long and can't take care of his kids yada yada before he makes 1 defence of his title he bought in 2008.

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/box ... 6707879317

"I've won some, lost one, took on some of the best fighters in the world and got chopped by some of the best in the world. But I wouldn't have had it any other way.''

Green, 40, is coming to terms with his career coming to an end, this time with more certainty than his first retirement.

It pains him. He loves the fight game and says it plainly: ``It is irreplaceable''. He smiles wryly at the notion that nobody will sack him; he has to do that himself.

Had it not been for family, he is confident he could fight for at least three more years, but recent revelations about the after effects from concussions has left him pondering, as he puts it.

"It's a concern,'' he said.

"I want to be in charge of my family and protect my family when I'm older.

"If any problems arise for my children, my family or friends, physically and mentally I want to be capable.

"If that means sacrificing a couple more years in the sport I love and I've been successful in ... if it's detrimental to me it has to happen.

"First and foremost to me is my kids. If I can't protect my kids, guide my kids through life, be their father and their friend, there's no point.

"I've been bashed in the face for 22 years.

"You never know what's around the corner and the next punch can change that.
2013 he's retired again this time with more certainty than his first retirement. again playing the old protecting my kids in the future card yada yada. And to the surprise of nobody even after getting KTFO by a shot semi retired Tarver and again by a guy who overdosed on antidepressants in a suicide attempt a few months before not to mention a burst appendix incident where he abused a nurse he is back fighting. Again to fight Mundine
and again fighting a woefully outmatched opponent who will be fighting out of his weight class. GO GREENY!!!!!!!!!!

This Watts fight is purely a warm up fight for Mundine vs Green II. As soon as it is over the contract for Mundine vs Green II will be signed. I thought everybody had worked that out by now.

Green has had one fight in 4 or 5 years and he is 43 years old. He is also being described here as an old hack.

So the 43 year old old hack has chosen a very beatable opponent as a warm up to Mundine II and the millions that go with it. If anyone is surprised by that they have their head buried firmly in the sand.

Don't leave out the bout is for the prestigious Vacant Australian Cruiserweight Title that was won 9 days ago, Green is an old hack but his experience will get him a KO, who cares about Green Vs Mundine 2, its nearly as beneficial to boxing as was Azuma vs Fenech when they came out of retirement, Danny Green doesn't need a bout like this to get him ready for a fighter well below his weight

They do and enough Australians do to ensure the fight makes them millions of dollars each.

Hard to see this as a tune-up fight when Mundine took12 months to settle on an opponent.

He could have fought Austin Trout or Demetrius Andrade for his WBO title. But instead comes up with somebody even boxing fans like ourselves have never even heard of.

There are probably 30 or 40 better 154 pounders around than Charles Hatley and they didn't all say no to Mundine, because they were asked.

Erislandy Lara has said he is keen to come and fight in Australia but said he hasn't been asked. Lara is not only a name. He has titles to his name too. Pity they didn't give him a call instead of this Charles what ever his name is
Hatley was rated 13th in WBC rankings and he bagged that fight out(to be fair I wouldn't of watched it if it was on in the league season). But Green fights some terrible opponent and he's OK with that. He just is another Green apologist who will find anyway to justify this atrocious mismatch which is far worse than the fights which caused Braydon Smith and Davey Brownes deaths.
He doesn't care about the health of Kane Watts only that his hero can beat a guy who made him look like a club fighter 10 years ago.
