I'm gonna put money on Brook, fornicate it! See, bigdoofus I do rate Brook I was just pissed off with the matchmaking.
Really? Why would it be fight of the year. It's going to be a one sided beating.Verdi wrote:Good matchup, could be the fight of the year. Didn't expect that, can't wait!![]()
Maybe constant criticism of his resume has driven him insane?jamesmcdonnell wrote:Brook is a fool to accept it. He's going to get ripped to pieces. Is he mad.
People are applauding him I think someone needs to have a quiet word in his ear and ask if he's lost his mind.
People talk about it as a cash-out fight for brook, I think Camp Eddie is the one cashing out,Brook seemingly not an 'asset' he is that keen to protect? Considering, you know, he brings no fans or name recognition or personality or US profile...?Finch wrote:Kell Brook really needs to take stock of his promoter here.
Brook clearly had the balls to fight legit fighters, but to get thrown to the wolves in fighting the best guy on the planet two weights higher is a disgrace on Hearn's part.
This just means that Eddie can't get the big fights at Welter so is sacrificing the lamb to keep Sky happy. Absolute disgrace by Eddie.
Really hope Brook gives a good account of himself but fear a bad defeat impedes his ability to get big title fights at his true weight.
Eddie Hearn hang your head in shame.
You must have missed the first Carson Jones fight thenNightmare Roy wrote:It's going to be interesting, I don't think I've seen Kell loose a round let alone a fight. He's gone one better than Kahn here and made the Eubanks look like a right pair of knobs, fair play Kell.![]()
Hearn is doing very nicely with Joshua at the moment and probably sees that he is going to lose Brook to another promoter anyway unless he delivers something massive for him, so why not throw him in with the best fighter in the world? Brook has said he wanted this since Khan signed for his Canelo execution, so all of a sudden in Brook's eyes camp Eddie has gone from the guy who can't deliver him fights to the guy who's delivered him the biggest possible fight out there. It trumps Khan-Canelo, maybe not in monetary terms, but certainly in kudos and in the dick waving look at the size of my fornicating bollocks stakes. GGG is THE hardest bastard in boxing (with the possible exception of Kovalev). Brook is probably sick of hearing he has no bottle: well this should shut everybody up.Counter-puncher wrote:People talk about it as a cash-out fight for brook, I think Camp Eddie is the one cashing out,Brook seemingly not an 'asset' he is that keen to protect? As Canelo has been seemingly trying to prove that he can beat any Welterweight in the world at Caneloweight i thought the same thing. Brook is the only one i could imagine beating him.lefty wrote:Brook and Canelo would probably be a good fight actually.Counter-puncher wrote:Obviously just a guess but looking at him there is no way he 'only' puts 12lbs back on, I'm positive its more than that. Leo Santa Cruz probably puts more than 12 on so I'm damn sure kell does.lefty wrote: That's effing Canelo-esque lol
he's looked fat for years between fights but he was different level on sky for Thurman v Porter. Could barely see over his own neck.clopixolacuphase wrote:Listening to some boxing podcasts today, can't remember if it was Bunce or Nuthouse, but in one they were saying he was looking pretty big and that he would struggle to make WW again. Living a minute away from Brammal lane gutted this isn't local, but assuming O2 as will be some big ticket prices to cover GGG costs.
They were completely mugging him off for being fat and only in it for the money.
Definitely Nuthouse.

Just speculating but I'm guessing Brook is also just someone that when he is carrying a bit of extra weight, it tends to go on his face and around the neck. That can give off the illusion of being heavier than you are.BigDoofus wrote:Nonsense.
