Kell Brook really needs to take stock of his promoter here.

Brook clearly had the balls to fight legit fighters, but to get thrown to the wolves in fighting the best guy on the planet two weights higher is a disgrace on Hearn's part.

This just means that Eddie can't get the big fights at Welter so is sacrificing the lamb to keep Sky happy. Absolute disgrace by Eddie.

Really hope Brook gives a good account of himself but fear a bad defeat impedes his ability to get big title fights at his true weight.

It's going to be interesting, I don't think I've seen Kell loose a round let alone a fight. He's gone one better than Kahn here and made the Eubanks look like a right pair of knobs, fair play Kell.

Hearn is doing very nicely with Joshua at the moment and probably sees that he is going to lose Brook to another promoter anyway unless he delivers something massive for him, so why not throw him in with the best fighter in the world? Brook has said he wanted this since Khan signed for his Canelo execution, so all of a sudden in Brook's eyes camp Eddie has gone from the guy who can't deliver him fights to the guy who's delivered him the biggest possible fight out there. It trumps Khan-Canelo, maybe not in monetary terms, but certainly in kudos and in the dick waving look at the size of my fornicating bollocks stakes. GGG is THE hardest bastard in boxing (with the possible exception of Kovalev). Brook is probably sick of hearing he has no bottle: well this should shut everybody up.

Eh, I don't really like this too much, although I don't think size will be as much of an issue as some will want to make it. Brook has fought at 154 several times before and even once at MW; he's not a former lightweight who only recently moved up to 147.

I don't think there will be a big gap between GGG and Brook's weights on the night.

As Canelo has been seemingly trying to prove that he can beat any Welterweight in the world at Caneloweight i thought the same thing. Brook is the only one i could imagine beating him.
I've no idea how he makes Welter he should be at Light Middle. It will be good to see GGG anyway and especially against a very talented boxer but this could be ugly.
Kell really should have held out for Light middleweight, this only ends one way.

GGG will take heat for this too but when you plan A (Canelo), B (Saunders), C (Jacobs) & D (Eubank) all elude you and you want to stay busy you'll take any stadium sell out PPV you can i suppose.

Not looking forward to this. A welterweight against the might of GGG. Brook will be kod fairly early

One thing that will be interesting if nothing else is the battle of the jabs. Both have very good jabs. Golovkin's is a straight up heavy offensive Jab whereas Brook tends to like to counter jab more frequently although it's still a stiff, heavy jab. The thing that makes this fight somewhat intriguing for me is that Brook is a very big welterweight- their first head to head will be more telling I think in regards to their comparative size.

I've criticised the level of competition of some British fighters as much as the next man, but massive credit had to go to Khan for getting in with Canelo.
But what Kell Brook has just signed up to is different level of testicular fortitude.

Just speculating but I'm guessing Brook is also just someone that when he is carrying a bit of extra weight, it tends to go on his face and around the neck. That can give off the illusion of being heavier than you are.

I've made a few comments on this thread and all that has been made clear is there is a lot of hate for Brook out there! I'm a Brook fan so I've obviously missed it.

Think what you will but Kell has shown some balls here. He's taking on the most dangerous and best fighter in world boxing. Even guys at his own weight are ducking him like the plague.

I can't see a way Kell wins this fight but I think he'll have a good go and I'll be supporting him even though I'm a big GGG fan! Have to favour the home guys no matter what we think of the outcome!
