Re: AJ vs Wladimir...
Pulev is upright, has no head movement, leaves his chin out to dry. He would be stopped very quickly. Look at how the styles match up instead of fixating on records and meaningless alphabet rankings. Assess fighters on an absolute scale rather than a relative one. Use eyes.BitPlayer wrote:Considering his best opponents have been Whyte and Breazeale, it likely would.Riddick Blowe wrote:because a Kubrat Pulev bout is going to teach Joshua Soooooo much about what it means to be a top fighterBitPlayer wrote: It means not having a win over a top ten fighter.
And here something weird, if the competition is poor, that means you need to fight higher ranked opponents to be credible, not lower.

He also said, in an interview I watched the other day, that Wlad was looking done and that Joshua wasn't ready for him yet.Naandrew wrote:Hearn was saying he doesn't want this fight unless Fury gets stripped and the other belts are on the lines.
THIS FIGHT DOESNT NEED F**KING BELTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right now this fight would be huge and if AJ destroyed Wlad then he becomes the man because it looks like Fury is never fighting again.
Hearn just making excuses this fight isn't happening.
Basically all in one breath.
So his world champion heavy weight, who he maintains is the best in the world, isn't quite ready to face a done, 40 year old ex-champion who lost his last fight, with a really poor performance, to a guy that Hearn maintains his man would also whup.

Anyone with one if these belts and proclaiming to be word champion should be ready for ANYONE.davie wrote:He also said, in an interview I watched the other day, that Wlad was looking done and that Joshua wasn't ready for him yet.Naandrew wrote:Hearn was saying he doesn't want this fight unless Fury gets stripped and the other belts are on the lines.

Things change over time you know. AJ didn't expect Fury to win either, while he also thinks Fury is probably quite an easy opponend.davie wrote:He also said, in an interview I watched the other day, that Wlad was looking done and that Joshua wasn't ready for him yet.Naandrew wrote:Hearn was saying he doesn't want this fight unless Fury gets stripped and the other belts are on the lines.

Because Whyte and Brezeale are defensive masters.Riddick Blowe wrote:Pulev is upright, has no head movement, leaves his chin out to dry. He would be stopped very quickly. Just because Pulev is 'ranked', doesn't mean he'll do any better than those guys.BitPlayer wrote:Because Whyte and Brezeale are defensive masters.Riddick Blowe wrote:Pulev is upright, has no head movement, leaves his chin out to dry. Re: Its official then. AJ v WK
Hearn was asked about it and said no. Nothing is official or confirmed right now.
Re: Its official then. AJ v WK
Saw this doing the rounds last night and fast car has denied it. Big gamble if they are even considering it! I'll be surprised if this happens. Wlad is probably past his best but he's always in great shape and has bags of experience. He's still head and shoulders above the tripe AJ has fought so far.
Re: Its official then. AJ v WK
I hope this comes off its totally 50/50 fight in my thinking.
Joshua could easily get gassed with wlads grabbing style ( don't read this Eddie he will be fine honest)

Just me thinking this would be easy for Mr Humble? Wlad isn't the fighter he was 3 or 4 years ago
Re: Its official then. AJ v WK
It's an article based on the UCN tweet and nothing else.
