Without checking, not sure what Chisora was for Helenius, but it kept him unbeaten.

Helenius also holds a satisfying victory over Erkan Teper.

He gets undue bad press for the Whyte performance. But he’s no mug.

Aye he’s decent enough, and seemed a pretty hot prospect early doors when he was getting rid of some faded contenders and champions early on in his career. The lay-off during his promotional split seemed to have a big affect and I haven’t been impressed with him since he came back - until last night. Good luck to him

At one time Helenius looked the real thing, impressive stoppages of Lamon Brewster and Sam Peter. He had power and composure and was great to watch... His revival is an interesting one.

Chisora should fight Helenius. See if if he can beat him again.

It was a quality fight, I’ll give them that. And it probably would be again.

Helenius actually has some pretty decent tools and was fun to watch coming up. He's one of these guys who is really inconsistent though and I also get a hint of mental fragility to him. He is back to being a player in the division but should pick his next move very carefully at this level

Definitely a waster like a Kownacki, turn up flabby & just try to throw loads of punches, gave him the opportunity he needed to give it one more go. Helenius does have power and repertoire.

Yeah I had high hopes for Helenius & also Boytsov. Wanted Sauerland & Universum to develop their guys into improvement & throw them at Wlad Klitschko, cause as much damage on him as they can & somehow end his reign earlier.

But it turned out well for British boxing with Fury & Joshua both gaining defining wins.

helenius wasn't actually really injured in this fight, just would use his snapping, fast jab reluctant to use his right hand that was pinned to his chin to protect him from catching a good nighh left hook from chisora and del boy chopped his body up for 12 rounds.

a fit helenius was and IS a powerful jabber and packs a decent punch, chisora is a cast iron brickhouse and was never fitter, better & more motivated regardless his age.

chisora in a brutal affair by late stoppage.

i recall scoring it 7-5 to Chisora in a quality, hard fight against Helenius.

“Del Boy” has been good to watch for a long time, going back to the two with Sexton and the entertaining first loss to Fury where he shook his man twice and engaged in a “British Round of the Year” candidate (think it was round 10).

In spite of the setbacks and disappointing defeats and the plodfests, he’s always come back and shown something - and it’s good to see him being rewarded for this.

Definitely shown character to come back from the humbling Fury (2nd fight) and Haye stoppages to thrill against Whyte and Takkam for good money.

Got to say, a hard bloke who always manages to go on a good streak and reinvent himself.

if you forget the kabsyrl fight wwhich was his the slump of his career and the helen robbery, look to whom ge lost while giving everybody a tough night. klitko, fury ×2, whyte where he was ahead & got caught, haye in his prime etc.

people who call him anything derogatory except a top level heavyweight just have no clue.

chinwise... powerwise, look how he took out takam and look what takam ate from hoshua & he still conplained about the stoppage...

tha takam knockout is one example what i mean with if the perfect punch lands and you got ZERO time to prepare your system for the impact... everybody goes down! still people don't get it.

Dnuh why this guys stressing. So we’re aware it MIGHT get postponed/cancelled or whatever. It’s a boxing forum. Half the time we’re discussing fights that are never gonna happen. For now, this has been announced. So, posters should be discussing it. Why not.

All fights are hypothetical until they happen anyway, we get it bruh, could be cancelled

Even after that happens. People will still discuss the fight. Terms are agreed. It will be rescheduled eventually.

I’m sure it will be. The heavyweight division is quite thin on talent. Presumably there’s a bit of a question mark on Whyte’s post-break form, and Povetkin still appears dangerous, but at his age could get brittle and vulnerable any time now. Whyte would start a warm-ish favourite.

BBBofC have cancelled all events until June.

Some may consider doing them behind closed doors.

Could just place it at York Hall, or if in Manchester still, then Victoria Warehouse. What would be the cost of hiring out the small venue, even though there will be no fans, is it worth it?
