I don’t know about the Washington fight, but for Fury he got £3 mill plus PPV. For the second Pulev fight, rumoured to be £1.5m. For Usyk he got over £4 million and he got crazy money for the Parker fight.

The big money, over the odds money is in Saudi and has been on DAZN.
Or maybe if Boxer are trying to buy a title.

With FW on a non Saudi show they get paid in line with what they generate.

I've gotta feeling (my favorite Beatles song) that Chisora is going to knock Joe out. I know it goes against all conventional wisdom, but Joyce is completely shot.

I don't think Joyce is shot. He, and we, just had a reality check.

No man can take full blooded shots off a thunderous 19st puncher.

Don't think that is beyond the realms of possibility based on Joyce's last fight.

I agree. I think it's jumping the gun to say he's completely shot. He lost twice to a top 5 guy off the back of beating a top 5 guy himself. His level of competition went up. If he loses to Chisora then he's shot but I don't think.we can say that he's shot based on his losses against Zhang.

Sometimes we see guys fighting to the level of their opponents - sometimes it's complacency and lack of motivation - sometimes a guy needs to find his confidence again.

Joyce didn't start too well, but the guy had been brutally KOd previously so maybe he needed confidence in his chin again. By the end we seen the pre-Zhang Joyce .. (very) slowly punching/walking down his opponent whilst shipping the occasional right hand flush without blinking.

Slo-Jo Joyce is what he is. His best wins being Dubois & Parker. His style allowed him to walk them down because both punch decently but not with dynamite like Zhang. I don't think Chisora will hit hard enough or have the smarts any longer.

I have a funny feeling about it too - the way Joyce crumbled in the second fight with Zhang, suggested to me that his punch resistance might have been permanently damaged.

Chisora by contrast, whilst slower, and less energetic, still seems quite durable, it could be a really ugly fight, with Chisora wading in eating shots for quite a few rounds, and then landing a big looping shot that flattens Joyce.

Joyce should jack it in, he's really go nowhere to go now. He's likely to take a lot of beatings now at this stage of proceedings.
TBH i feel Chisora should have packed in a while back and this would clear the way for the young guns comin thru but he is a greedy bugger and wont give it up .

I dont care much for the fight but of course will watch it
I thought the Fury fight was him cashing out? And then we get this.
It's a real Marmite fight. Half the forum doesn't want to see it mingled with others who think both are shot enough to make it close. That should never be an option. Shot fighters get put to pasture. Both sound a bit punchy and old.

Think you just about nailed it on the head there , Put me in the could'nt care less box , Only good thing about it is Joe gets to earn a quid before he gets hurt or retires , but really what it does is show how the depth is'nt there for the premier league of boxing , two old shot fighters commanding top spot . Who will win , my moneys on Joyce , Chisora is'nt going to become a better tactician , mover or boxer , before this fight , he will walk onto Joe slowly which will suit Joe ,

On paper this should be a rough night for chissy. He's slow, cumbersome, not a big puncher, all of which play into Joyce's hands.

Fights aren't won on paper though, and Joyce could be badly shot, hard to tell. We will know after this I think.

Styles make fights and this will be good.

Even if JJ is shot, I'm sure he is less shot than Chisora.

JJ will have too much of everything

I watched an interview with Joe Joyce today, his eye is a mess. It's badly scarred and the white of his eye is a dull grey colour. He should retire imo, boxing isn't wroth going blind for.
