I think Trump wants cheaper fuel prices, because it's a big election issue. He can't solve the Iranian crisis because that would mean looking weak. So he needs a scapegoat and a willing accomplice. So he blames Zelensky for the price rises because Ukraine is so effective in disrupting the Russian oil economy. So he wants Russian oil instead.

Trump saved America, if it wasn't for him it would be looking like France right now. Western Nations are being overrun and burnt to the ground by third world trash - that's where America was heading until he shored up the border and deported millions of criminals. Britain still has time to do the same, we can elect a PM like Farage or Lowe with the bottle to start using the military against the invaders and making mass deportations, otherwise or country will be in the same mess France is.
