Believe you me, cog, I really really aren’t the best on here, I’m far from it!
How do you explain Snr going bankrupt when he’s so intelligent? Or him driving Bentleys on Jrs wages when he only got to the semi final? Where was the foot movement in that bout when Groves jabbed his head off?
I don’t think you’re the best at anything, anywhere, in any way.
Can you answer my questions?
You tell me?

Why didn’t he tell him the foot movement? He got beat up. His own son!

How the hell do I know?
Jr clearly doesn’t listen to his dad though, defiant. Prick.

In that clip Sr says he was telling him to close the distance. Jr is prob too stubborn to listen to his old man.

PS Ramirez isn’t even in the same stratosphere as individual belt holders Nunn, Graham (NON-belt holder), McCallum, Toney or Jones Jr in terms of boxing ability
Great list of all the fighters Eubank avoided. Thanks Cog
Other way round, other than Graham (and TV-less, fan-less, belt-less McCallum post-90)

So how does Sr keep getting money out of him?
He’s his freelance advisor, as Kinehan is to Frampton/Saunders (and was to Fury)

Sr doesn’t steal the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces from the show courts. I think the ITV PPV ventures made them mills too. And I’m a Celeb was 400K (highest for any contestant). No more sleeping in the truck as he did for years.

When Leonard retired in about 81/82 he was a welter/super-welter, Hagler was eyeing Qawi and Spinks at light-heavy/heavy. 6-7yrs later or whatever and Leonard fights him.
Any true hardcore boxing fan worth their salt would’ve rather seen the Top Two in the division facing off to see just who was #1. Graham or Hagler. And it would’ve been Graham, hands down
Do you include Boxing News editor Harry Mullan in that? Do you remember the Boxing News front cover 'Back off BJ!' in reference to Herol's manager Barney 'BJ' Eastwood lobbying the WBA to get Hagler stripped for fighting Leonard.

That’s the way it works, and the way it should work. You need structure.

Not even in the top ten.
Guess that was made up by the press then if you know something nobody else does? Gold digging second wife negotiated it.

Why on earth would he be the best paid? My children hardly know who he is.

Why are you asking me these questions?
And what are your children doing watching that crap?

And as mentioned he showed no interest in fighting RJJ, Michael Nunn, James Toney or Frankie Liles. And in the British scene he avoided Herol Graham like the plague.
Yeah, I like Eubank senior, but he is trying to rewrite history here and is being disingenuous...
Unfair on Eubank. Herol wasn't really in the picture.
6 days after Eubank beat Benn for the world title, Herol got KO'd by Jackson. His only win in the time Eubank was champion was over John Ashton. Shortly after Eubank moved up to super-middle.
Herol stayed at middle and lost to Kalambay and got stopped by Frank Grant.
Eubank was a champion from Nov 90 until March 95. Herol didn't get his next win until Nov 96.

Also Toney, Jones, Nunn and Liles weren’t champions at the same time. Toney lost to Jones and Nunn lost to Steve Little.
Eubank’s opinion in 93 was that he, Nunn and Toney were joint equal best in the division ahead of Benn. He wasn’t far wrong.

Rocchigiani was robbed badly against Maske and Michalczewski, beat Nunn and blew Hamsho (who gave Hagler hell) aside in one round with his timed left cross. Rocky’s timing out of the high guard was something else. Eubank was incredible that night in Berlin.

The sort of structure that allowed Watson and Eubank to fight for the WBO's vacant Super middleweight belt, usurping the previous top two and even though they'd not been fighting in the division?
I agree the Leonard fight was a circus and I didn't like it.
