People forget how well Brook was doing with Spence. He was a major talent. Getting stabbed never helped him.
people massively overrate it too. Spence was winning the fight while kell won some rounds.mickey1975 wrote: β29 Nov 2021, 22:55 People forget how well Brook was doing with Spence. He was a major talent. Getting stabbed never helped him.
I think it will be a cracker while it lasts, both are at the same level and there may well be a few knockdowns,if Khan still has some speed I think he wins in a couple of roundsRicky wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 06:26 I think it will be a good fight. Brook has always been levels above Khan who's almost always came unstuck vs fighters that carry a bit of power. It's intriguing though because I'm not sure how much punishment Brook can withstand now and Khan could do some damage to his broken face.
I wonder if Brook regrets ruining himself vs Golovkin, such a needless match up.
Always liked that quote Mickmickey1975 wrote: β29 Nov 2021, 13:44 It'll probably be a rough night. I already know loads going for Kell, and as the great Brian Potter once said "no, no, no! You don't mix the roses".
Yeah Khan deserves a lot of credit for the Maidana fight, I thought he was going to get properly smashed up if he took it and was convinced heβd duck it.margaret thatcher wrote: β29 Nov 2021, 22:47 khans win over maidana was lit, that was a good f@cking fight and marcos went on quite a run in the future
I said on here he would never take the fight, fair play he did and nearly won in the firstBoxerbeetle wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 08:16Yeah Khan deserves a lot of credit for the Maidana fight, I thought he was going to get properly smashed up if he took it and was convinced heβd duck it.margaret thatcher wrote: β29 Nov 2021, 22:47 khans win over maidana was lit, that was a good f@cking fight and marcos went on quite a run in the future
I had Kell a round down when he got stopped. Spences body work paid off.Counter-puncher wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 07:04people massively overrate it too. i could see him wilting from the early rounds- not that I could see it at that point, but I found it predictable given the way the first few rounds worked out, with Spence setting the pace and working the body and Kell (it seemed to me) boxing at his absolute maximum just to keep him off, as soon as his energy depleted at all he was very vulnerable. to me halfway through that fight was screaming 'Spence by stoppage'mickey1975 wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 10:12I had Kell a round down when he got stopped. I agree. But Khan is a long way from a pre crash Spence.Counter-puncher wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 10:15i could see him wilting from the early rounds- not that I could see it at that point, but I found it predictable given the way the first few rounds worked out, with Spence setting the pace and working the body and Kell (it seemed to me) boxing at his absolute maximum just to keep him off, as soon as his energy depleted at all he was very vulnerable. to me halfway through that fight was screaming 'Spence by stoppage'mickey1975 wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 10:12I had Kell a round down when he got stopped. not sure if that is the understatement of the year or the decade
Not sure Khan has the power to do that.bigjack wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 07:24I think it will be a cracker while it lasts, both are at the same level and there may well be a few knockdowns,if Khan still has some speed I think he wins in a couple of roundsRicky wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 06:26 I think it will be a good fight. No, Cp. That was when I said Big John Fury wasn't very good for PR.Counter-puncher wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 10:28not sure if that is the understatement of the year or the decade
He works alongside Ben Shalom at Boxxer.

Is that his birthname lol
I'd agree usually, but I think Brook getting done with a jab last time could show he's fragilejamesmcdonnell wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 10:29Not sure Khan has the power to do that.bigjack wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 07:24I think it will be a cracker while it lasts, both are at the same level and there may well be a few knockdowns,if Khan still has some speed I think he wins in a couple of roundsRicky wrote: β30 Nov 2021, 06:26 I think it will be a good fight.
