Chisora seems finished with boxing, especially as a contender. Seems like it’s justfor him.
Pulev,Usyk Joshua and have 3 to 4 months to sign a contract to fight or be dropped form the ratings
2023
Pulev July 9th
Usyk August 4th
Ortiz September 4th
Ruiz September 4th
Wilder October 15th
Whyte November 26th
Chisora December 3rd
Fury December 3rd
2024
Parker January 21st
Joshua April 1st
Sanchez April 4th
Zhang April 15th
Joyce April 15th
Bakole April 22nd
Pretty sure Pulev and Ortiz are not going to be fighting anyone of note, if at all. Ortiz has to hang them up or risk his future health.

Think both of the winners of these will make the top 15. Hopefully they face each other after, though it's unlikely.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 May 2023, 03:26 01.07.2023 -Arslanbek Makhmudov - 14(14) 0 0 - (BoxRec's #18) vs. vs.

Chisora and Hrgovic will go out.
If they both win, i'd voter them around Sanchez. Then that puts Pulev at 15. so he's ready to naturally exit the rankings if say someone like Efe comes back in.

Sanchez to fight Chris Arreola
"[The Martz bout] was a fight we took to stay active, because we have a fight against Chris Arreola and other fighters down the line on the horizon. We took [the fight], we did it and it came out the perfect knockout. I did exactly what my managers and coach asked me to do," Sanchez told George Ebro.
“Yes, [the Arreola fight] is already something agreed upon. We are waiting for them to give us the date for that fight. But let's hope it's one of many more to come until we can get closer to a world title. Big things are coming after Arreola, perhaps the Chinese man [Zhilei Zhang] who beat Joe Joyce. We're going after everyone up there. We just have to wait for the opportunity," Sanchez said.
“I had already been [with Reynoso and Team Canelo] as a family. They always welcome me there, Reynoso, Canelo. They welcomed me back as always, as if I had never left. They told me that we are going to move forward, you are going to be world champion, which is something that now more than ever I have for sure," Sanchez said.

Embarrassingly bad opponent but it was obviously going to come. Get it over with and out of the way because nobody is interested in that fight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 May 2023, 06:15 Sanchez to fight Chris Arreola

He comfortably beat Ajagba a year and a half ago and since then has faced Hammer, Negron and Martz. Decreasing in competition each fight. I guess Arreola might still be better than those guys these days but he's wasted his opportunity to use his win over Ajagba as a platform.

Aerreola is on the slide but did ok vs ruiz (that was 2 years ago though).... this is a shit opponent, but not biblicaly shit like martz. areola has at least shown a chin and been willing to ding away, kinda like a worse chisora. Im just happy its not molina (i get those names mixxed up and at first thoght it was molina.....)
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
There is, at best, one night of worthwhile heavyweight boxing in the next 3 months and the last 4 have been nothing really apart from Joyce/Zhang.
Someone should start a thread of the most stagnant periods of the division with least amount of top 25 fighters fighting at all, let alone one another.

Excluding WW2 I don't think you are going to find a more lame division that what we have had recently. It made sense during ww2 but there is no reason for the top 20 to not fight let alone fight each other.Contendeh wrote: ↑08 May 2023, 19:05 There is, at best, one night of worthwhile heavyweight boxing in the next 3 months and the last 4 have been nothing really apart from Joyce/Zhang.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
arreola's best win in 9 years is a struggle vs curtis harper, that is f@cking sad. he is currently ranked 116 on boxrec
inevitable sanchez 10-0 does nothing. like is anyone really gonna think 'omg he didnt get dropped by arreola like ruiz did! so impressive!' but then kownacki, kauffman, and kassi didnt either ffs.........can't believe they have had a f@cking build up to this sh!t like it's some type of hot fight
arreola is chisora like indeed, but defo a lesser version. chisora actually scores a half decent win once in a while (pulev, takam) and couldve fairly been given wins vs parker/whyte. he doesnt just win a round or two like chris does.

Thank you. It is God awful. And we are just out of a period where matches couldn’t be held so you would think there would be SOME kind of increased activity.tiny_acres wrote: ↑08 May 2023, 21:17Excluding WW2 I don't think you are going to find a more lame division that what we have had recently. Don't know about adding the Lerena-Mehry bout, but technically, they're not participating at the HW division. It's a BW eliminator.

If you fought in September/October of 2023,
you should have either fought by now or have something scheduled.
Names like Ruiz, Wilder, Whyte, should be active HW's..
Usyk hasn't fought since August 2022. The whole Fury thing was just a waste of time. Hopefully, they can get Dubois mando out the way before August.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
I think its important we dont have an automatic cut off for people that havent fought in a year.... mabey 18 months or 2 years auto, but other than that after a year we should vote on it.
Usyk not fighting for 12 months when negotating for undisputed gone? where as Frank sanchez is immune because he beat Daniel Martz.... let alone the people that havent won in 12 months but survive ie otriz, Pulev.... so they are rewarded for losing...
12 month inactivity vote works, If your old and irrlelevent and inactive, we vote ya out, if your negotating a historic fight we probably keep ya.... but we chose.

I think that is a good suggestion. With it being revisited at 18 months. Though automatic elimination at 18 months sounds good to me too. 18 months without a fight is far too long.gregregegg wrote: ↑14 May 2023, 02:27 I think its important we dont have an automatic cut off for people that havent fought in a year.... mabey 18 months or 2 years auto, but other than that after a year we should vote on it.

I wouldn’t even bother putting a vote on that.
Pulev on the other hand hasn’t had any news since his last fight.
