He probably has yes, just very few times and usually the odds are stacked in his fighters favour, give us a few examples then mickey, excluding world title fights.

Wazza plays the same game as Hearn, the old risk reward.
Sometimes fighters are sent abroad with little chance of winning but for a nice payday, Lockett v Pavlik, Jennings v Cotto, even Williams v Tyson which of course came off.
Hearn did it with Rees v Broner more recently with Quiqq and Campbell.
Paying big bucks for an away fighter is less common Hatton v Tsyzu, Hide v Klit, Mitchell v Katsidis

I fancied Mitchell to beat Katsidis in that one. Was gutted. Was always a bit of a Mitchell fan.

Nah I was jumping around like a mentalist  Again, I didn't expect that to happen! I thought Burns in a close decision.

I've just watched that fight again, still can't really believe how Mitchell came apart so easily, great left hook though, but still unexpected.

It was warming up nicely as well although Burns was getting the better of the exchanges and his jab was on point. That was probably Burns last top performance.

I noticed he's getting a run out on the Newcastle bill next week. That'll be his 50th fight!

Be nice to get a win and then call it a day at the half century.

Can't see him stopping. I can see Hearn using him for Ritson.

I wonder how he's fixed financially after the court case a couple of years back.

He had to end up declaring himself bankrupt I'm sure mate. Not sure what his situation is now. He'll end up back working as a mechanic after boxing! He should be set up for life!

He must have had some decent paydays with Hearn after he lost the case to FW.
His manager went bankrupt yeah?
I thought he worked in a sports shop?

He's probably done alright with Hearn mate yeah but he's not as well off as he should be and had to file for sequestration while he was with Hearn due to Frank.

He works in DW sports in Coatbridge yeah. He also served his time as a mechanic with Arnold Clarke.

Yes I think he went bankrupt declaring about £400k debts which was basically his and Wrank Farren’s legal fees and compensation to Farren. Terrible thing is I think he was owed about £200k but the court accepted the money could never be paid to him because the company had been liquidated by Wrank...

A quick search says Calzaghe won his case ,i'm pretty sure Calzaghe didn't get paid for the fight initially after Wazza liquidated the company

A few people on here were saying Fury's comeback was going to be a bigger ticket seller than Haye-DeMori. I was at that fight and the 02 was packed. You never know, there might be a late rush of Albanian's buying tickets. :OhYes:

Me too,it's not changed much since they went on sale, selling about as quick as they did for the Wlad rematch.
