Well, that may well be true over there, but it certainly wasn’t sold or regarded anything as such here.
It wasn't SOLD that way anywhere. That's why I said it was an unspoken thing.
Perhaps you said it first I’m reading the thread backwards...fair dos.
Yeah I’m sure some see it that way. I’m sure some looked at Khan-Salita in similar terms. Best ignored in my view.
Certainly. I didn't say it was anything to be proud of, I just acknowledged that it was a factor that helps sell big fights. Whether people want to admit it or not.

Frampton looks good.
Jackson looks woefully out of his depth rather than Frampton looking good. Eg Frampton is hanging chin in air and not moving head but Jackson cannot take advantage
You exaggerate Carl's flaws, but Jackson does look overawed and outclassed.

Kinda rare to see Frampton look like the bigger man in the ring. He's usually the shorter of the two in his fights.

Not flaws as such but how he is fighting here. Improving as he has warmed up with a few rounds though

Jackson looks southern Area title level only type fighter. Frampton late stoppage.

I’d love to be wrong but I agree with this.
I think we’ve seen the best of Tyson Fury and if he does fight Wilder next I’m sorry to say I think he’d lose.

I don't know. If he doesn't stop him in the 7th or 8th he might not at all. Frampton's stamina issues that they were talking about earlier was Jackson's gameplan is a very real flaw.
He slows down noticeably after the 7th or 8th round in every fight I've ever seen of him.
He's in complete control so the stoppage wouldn't be necessary anyway, but he's not known for late fight fireworks is Frampton.
That being said, I think there's such a gulf in skill here that he could easily win all 12 rounds whereas he often starts to lose rounds down the stretch against higher level opposition.

The radio makes it seem like it's a mismatch. Is that the case?

Just got in in.
It seems the Fury fight was farcical so I won't watch it. I don't care about him getting rounds. Pianeta was knocked out by Kevin Johnson last year FFs.
To put into perspective Daniel Dubois next opponent knocked out Furys opponent. And Fury is preparing to fight Wilder !
BT are a joke too. Crap fights tonight two PPVs announced Frampton v Warrington would be a third PPV and they have lost UFC after December 1st.
I hope Fury v Wilder happens and I'm not arsed who wins but I'll have my doubts about it until it's close to the fight.

Khan-Salita sold loads of tickets to Muslims and Jews. I was at that fight, it was a wild night in and out of the arena.

Jackson is gutsy. The body-shot was solid.

Frampton is in such control tonight that his usual stamina issues may not be a factor. He's able to operate completely calm and comfortable in there so far as Jackson just isn't able to give him much trouble with anything.
He dropped him with a big body shot in the 8th.

David Haye: “that’s the best Carl Frampton I’ve ever seen.”
Do you think that is because it’s also amongst the most basic opponent you’ve seen him against?
Ffs.

What is with the interviewers asking fighters their strategy for their future opponents? You'd have to be a f*cking dumbass to publicly announce your strategy to a future opponent

Not officially, but the reason it was in Newcastle, is that there is a massive Jewish community in Gateshead and loads of Muslims in Newcastle and Middlesbrough/Stockton. I was there with Jewish friends and all the talk was religion, likewise the next day when talking to my Muslim pals that were also at the fight.
