Just seems to be getting better and better
Sheer dominance.
Whoa whoa whoa,...pump the brakes there ruthless,,..Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 01:45 Canelo is once in a lifetime fighter.. and he’s not boring in the ring either.. still young. In his prime. Has had 50+ fights now.

Funny enough, his 2013 win over Vanes is arguably his best achievement.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 02:06Yeah, it was as if Andrade was trying to undermine Canelo’s pound-for-pound credentials, compelling him to randomly bark Matthew Hatton’s name, which was an opponent Alvarez faced a decade ago.
However, every single one of Andrade’s opponents for the last ten years has been appalling compared to Canelo’s.
How can you list carefully selected opponents and also claim he lost to Trout, Lara, Mayweather, and GGG twice? You can claim he’s a juicing loser but don’t pretend he hasn’t faced good opposition.Duran1970 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 12:33 Ya he looked good last night but the opposition offered up very little. He really hasn't fought anybody sans groves njikam..and really got beat by Ryder..
Alvarez a fine fighter for sure but one could argue that he lost Trout Lara Mayweather GGG X2...let's not mention the juice and carefully selected opponents
Do you have a point or deduction to share?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 19:05 Callum Smith explained the following to Boxing Social:
”[My arm] is füçkéd, to be honest with you,
“And it was intentional, because I knew from the first round... [Canelo] was aiming for my arm, every right hook he kept throwing [at it], he was going for my arm...
“And then after round four, I told [my corner] my arm is füçkêd,
“He kind of took away my catch left-hook, which is my best shot, which was probably [their plan]
“When he was hitting my arm, it was making my arm drop, rather than being able to return with it. He took [my best] shot away from me.
“And every credit to him, he knew what he was doing.
“After the twelfth round, he just looked [at it] and laughed at the swelling.
“It was just his experience... because he took away my best shot!”
Read my post. You only quoted an extract of it, because the remainder clearly answers your question.oogiebe wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 19:10Do you have a point or deduction to share?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 19:05 Callum Smith explained the following to Boxing Social:

Anyway, hopefully you’ll understand the point I’ve made.
Canelo’s strategy to intentionally injure Smith’s arm seemed very clever and unorthodox to me.
Jacobs tail end of career, post cancer, everyone including my mother knew Kovalev was shot, Chavez Jr always sucked, Liam Smith? Seriously?, And you forgot an aging GGG, who he waited years to fight,,bobcatbox wrote: ↑20 Dec 2020, 14:09How can you list carefully selected opponents and also claim he lost to Trout, Lara, Mayweather, and GGG twice? In addition to the names you’ve listed he’s defeated Danny Jacobs, Kovalev, Chavez Jr. (before he sucked), Liam Smith (who was undefeated), and an aging Shane Mosley and Cotto.
Is there anyone that is a consensus duck by Canelo? No one comes to mind.
