Looking at the damage Belfort could do on gear or Overeem compared to when they are (relatively) natural probably tells you it’s dangerous.

No

I think that deep down you are. You love boxing, you're a long standing fan of the sport who's seen it's highs and lows. I think the idea of more brain damage happening for any reason, PEDs or tampered gloves, is something that as a human, you wouldn't want to see.

Boxing is inherently a corrupt sport at it's core. If you accept Boxing you except all the shadiness that comes with it.

Trying to "clean up" Boxing is a pipe dream.

I don't want to see brain damage, no. But if there's a fight, and one of my favorite fighters is caught using PED's, do I want his win reversed or him suspended? No I don't. So if I don't want it for the guys I like, I can't want it for the guys I don't like either. That would make me a hypocrite.

In Professional Sports in the modern era people will take as much as they can get away with. Just accept it as part of life, and move on.

Overeem was an absolute beast on them wasn't he. Looked literally invincible. I couldn't believe it when I saw him after he'd stopped. Looked a completely different person.
