If Barrett had a better chin. Audley would have been going into the last round, 2 rounds behind. He focused way too much on that one left punch. Lucky for Audley it worked for him. It could have been a different story.

Was he worried about being hit? Or was he worried about running out of stamina in a 3x3 round fight? Either way it's alarming.

Not really alarming anymore I don't think, Audley just isn't all that.

Fair play to him for entering and winning Prizefighter but he isn't many levels above this now.

I cant see him fighting above euro level but wouldnt be surprised to see him win the British title
I think if Sexton shows himself to be fitter against Rogan than in match 1 (doesn't look like its on Sky) - then I think he beats Audley.

I'd tip Fury to beat Audley, but think Audley beats McDermott.
i think he should beat them all with Rogan the only doubt due to his workrate but i thought Audley won their first fight and that's from fighting Rogan's fight
People are forgetting Sexton was comprehensively outboxing and outworking Rogan for most of their fight... but he did tire badly at the end.. .thats my worry, see if its improved in November.

Fury showed a decent workrate against McDermott... tired, but surely good enough workrate to trouble Harrison.

Think Harrison will be too clever for McDermott.

Harrison is far to clever for McDermott and would embarrass him over 3 rounds but a 12 rounder is very different, as with Sexton stamina and chin is crucial over the championship distance

I'm not sure because McDermott will put pressure on Harrison and get inside him and Harrison hate's it up close but he could get outclassed and outbox him easily. I think Harrison should fight the winner of Sexton vs Rogan or Sosnaski (the guy who KO'd Williams)

he beat two unbeaten fighters all be bit Novice fighters but still unbeaten

I hear what your saying Mark .. but lets not forget the advantages he had beforehand ... size and experience.

He beat 3 novice heavyweights. Firstly he had almost 30 pounds weight advantage over one opponent, another was a 6 or 7 fight novice he beat on pts and another a fragile guy - none other than Scott Belshaw.

He hasn`t convinced me to think otherwise of his prospects.

I disagree, over 3 rounds I would give McDermmott a chance to outwork Audley.

Audley IS NOT an intelligent fighter..... he "relied" on the weak chin of Belshaw - he was losing both rounds before landing the one punch (in both rounds). He was 1-1 going into the last round with Hughes and he was 3.30 away from losing to Barratt. Hughes and Belshaw are pretty dire, Barrat was good but to small.

What I think he will be able to do against McDermmot is tie him up, lose a few rounds before landing his bingo punch in the mid rounds as McDermmot fades. McDermott is more than a 3 round fighter though.

Audley was lucky that he had one chinny fighter and two small Heavies. If he had faced Baker, who showed a good chin and decent speed, he might have been in trouble.

I was dissapointed in Gammer and Williams I thought Hughes fought well but was a league below Harrison I also like the look of Coleman Barrett he is fast and throws good combinations I think he lacks power though I hope he moves down to CW I think he could be a decent British level fighter at Crusierweight

lets be realistic..bakers stamina is/was dire... he shone for 2 mons of the 1st round.....1 min of the second.... and 20 secs of the last. if he got in shape, down to maybe 18 stone, he could rise to english title level or beyond.

I dont think Baker could get to English level he was good for 3 minutes in the whole night his staminia is terrible he hardly throw in rounds 2 and 3 and was knackered at the end of his 1st fight I think he just caught Williams coming in he has heavy hands and that's about it

You don't need good stamina to beat Audley over 3 rounds. Its hardly like Audley set a pace.... I reckon more punches were thrown in that fight than Audley threw all right.

Lots of people gave Barker the first round against Barrat.

I'm not one for getting carried away or for making for making brash predictions, so everyone should take note when I tell you that Audley Harrison is going to be HW Champion of the World.

Audley's back in town and he's in the mood to run riot. Watch this space!

Having Sky +`d prizefighter, I watched it last night in a post oktoberfest haze.

What the hell happened to Danny Williams? He looked like he was fighting in treacle with a heavy dose of sleeping tablets in his system. Extremely poor effort. He could not keep his balance and never gave himself any distance to finish the guy when he had a chance.

As for Belshaw, his chin is so suspect. That first knockdown against Audley was a strange one. He took the punch, looked at Audley then dived to the canvas. Barrett did a similar thing in the final.

Audley, to his credit was patient enough and got the job done. However, he is so negative that he almost looks scared of getting hit. He obviously has power, but once a decent fighter starts banging him, he will not deal with it. He will just retreat into his shell.

I hope he does get a title shot, but he is a long way off on if you ask me.
