Turns out that Miller did quite well for himself at the negotiating table, too. Multiple sources have confirmed to BS.com that Miller’s total compensation package for fighting Joshua on June 1 is approximately $6.5 million.

Works out around £5m.. which is what Whyte wanted..

According to Miller, he still was the opponent of choice of executives for DAZN, which will stream their 12-round title fight live.

“So anyway, I wanted more money than Dillian Whyte was getting,” Miller said. “DAZN felt like it was a fight that needed to happen, so they came up with the rest of the money, on top of what AJ was offering. So I got basically close to what I wanted. Plus, I got [a percentage of revenue from] pay-per-view buys in the UK, over a certain amount. And the rematch is gonna be substantially a lot better, a lot bigger.

“But I had to still give up more than I wanted to because AJ doesn’t have that confidence in himself. He always feels like he can lose at any point, which is understandable. So, he’s trying to negotiate his next fight after that, if he loses, in a rematch. So that’s the kind of mentality, the type of person he is.”

He’s always at Miller’s fights. Post-fight interviews.

Just watched the presser.
Neither man came out of that looking good, just two fools being childish and repetitive.

In fairness, he did say in one of his early press conferences that he wasn't keen on trash talk but if someone tries to gob off, he'll respond. I think he was asked about how he never seemed to get involved in the verbals and basically said, everyone I've fought so far has been respectful so I'll be respectful back.

I don't think that's an unreasonable stance to take, do you?

lol its ridiculous mate, like is it not a reasonable human reaction to get a bit 'worked up' if someone shoves you like that? i dont think it really conveys anything bad at all. imo its actually model behavior to be a nice respectful guy but then stand up for yourself if someones a pudendum.

his mask slipping would be something like if he said he wanted to eat millers children and then sh!t them on miller

Good tactics by Miller, while I think he will get beat every way at least if AJ comes out swinging he might get an opening.

I actually like this fight; minority view, I know.

Miller's no puncher, but he rolls forward, weighs a ton, and he can take a fair old beating on current evidence. I won't be surprised if he hangs on for a few rounds. It's all routine for a disciplined Joshua if he hasn't overlooked Miller in training, but I think it'll be fun if it gets messy (he says).

I think it's an interesting new challenge for Joshua, and I never write off the unknown when it comes to upsetting fighters' rhythms. AJ in 4-6, I'd guess. Could equally be a first-round stoppage with Miller rocking around like a tranquilised hippo. I'm looking forward to it! More so than I would've been Joshua-Whyte II.

Now let's get Wilder-Fury booked for around the same time, with the winners fighting in the autumn (ain't happening, I realise).

Needs to show bit of respect for the sports sake.
He has to do something, his resume certainly doesn't sell his chances with AJ. So he has to over compensate with his mouth.
We predicted this would happen.
They may easilly sell out MSG, it's a tiny venue, but there is a lot of PPV money still to raise
20k is tiny?
Compared to the venues AJ has sold out it is.
That's in a different continent.

Yafai v Nietes unification is one Eddies said he is trying to make.

I’d imagine Quigg and Tommy Coyle will be on too somehow.

Quigg’s fighting on the April show in LA whilst I’m not sure Nietes vs Yafai will happen unfortunately - they’re going to purse bids soon for Nietes’ mandatory.

What deceiving about Miller is his activity. Seems active/inactive at times but he was a consistent (and very good) kickboxer up until 2014/15, Since his pro boxing debut, he's had about 40 boxing/kickboxing fights combined

"Boxing antics, and things happen all the time, and you've just got to take it how it is," Parker told Sky Sports.

"I'm good friends with Miller, so it's one of those fights where I hope it goes well, and I hope he can pull it off, but it's going to be a hard task, because Joshua is a champion. I'm just going to be interested as a heavyweight boxer and a fan of the sport. I think he got under his skin. Miller is just playing the game, doing what he has to do. It's just one of those things where it's interesting for boxing.

"[Me and Miller] get along well, we message each other, and I'm supporting him because he supported me when I had the Joshua fight. Both fighters are great fighters, and very respectful. It's going to be good to see them matched in the ring.

"Yeah, I'll be supporting Miller. We'll fight anyone. I've got a lot of respect for Tyson and he is the man. But it comes down to boxing, and if I want to be the best, I have to fight the best. I consider him one of the best in my generation as a heavyweight. Listen, I'll fight him."

100%. No doubt. I was thinking how (me included) gagged on this fight and now it's the best of the four.
