Unify at 160.
A quick question, instead of focussing on Charlo, have you ever considered the reason Eddie Hearn refuses to pit Andrade against his fellow big-name Matchroom/DAZN stablemates?handsofstone wrote: ↑18 Nov 2021, 18:51 I'm as bored of Andrade's career as the next man and I know he flatters to deceive but what more can he do to get a big fight, Charlo has no interest in a unification even on a PBC card, his manager even come out and said he would never deal with Andrade again after some issues years ago, disgraceful behaviour blocking your fighter from taking a fight because of your own personal beef, if anything Charlo should be demanding the fight but he seems to avoid any flak here
Golovkin was offered of fight but had his heart set on a December unification with Murata since about January, easy fight to make as well seeing as both with DAZN
Munguia another one with DAZN moved up from Super Welter as WBO champ and automatically became mandatory but refused fight and has shown no interest
As I say I understand the grief Andrade gets, especially since being at Middleweight, looks a million dollars early knocks his man down but eases off and coasts to a decision, nearly every fight at 160 has played out that way but realistically who can he fight??

He's on the cusp of turning 34 years of age, so I reckon it's going to happen within the next 18 months or so.

It’s a question I keep posing that very few attempt to answer - in fact, none of Andrade's fans will do so.
People keep moaning about Charlo, without even considering the bigger picture.
Charlo is a fellow Middleweight champ and I mentioned GolovkinEnlightened-One wrote: ↑18 Nov 2021, 19:08A quick question, instead of focussing on Charlo, have you ever considered the reason Eddie Hearn refuses to pit Andrade against his fellow big-name Matchroom/DAZN stablemates?handsofstone wrote: ↑18 Nov 2021, 18:51 I'm as bored of Andrade's career as the next man and I know he flatters to deceive but what more can he do to get a big fight, Charlo has no interest in a unification even on a PBC card, his manager even come out and said he would never deal with Andrade again after some issues years ago, disgraceful behaviour blocking your fighter from taking a fight because of your own personal beef, if anything Charlo should be demanding the fight but he seems to avoid any flak here

The interviews that Hearn and Andrade gave this week suggest they’ve resigned themselves to the fact Demetrius is unlikely to receive an opportunity to engage in a meaningful bout anytime soon.apollo creed wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 02:15Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 01:48 Andrade wins this fight, but the calibre of opposition he persistently faces in world title fights is pretty dire... and I have recently started hoping someone scores the upset.

Anyway Mung and Eubank Jr are in line for GGG if he beats Murata.
So there are no good options for Andrade at 160. Maybe Lara ?
Since signing up with Matchroom, Demetrius Andrade has only fought the likes of Walter Kautondokwa, Artur Akavov, Maciej Sulecki, Luke Keeler, Liam Williams and Jason Quigley over a time period spanning more than four years.handsofstone wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 03:59Charlo is a fellow Middleweight champ and I mentioned GolovkinEnlightened-One wrote: ↑18 Nov 2021, 19:08A quick question, instead of focussing on Charlo, have you ever considered the reason Eddie Hearn refuses to pit Andrade against his fellow big-name Matchroom/DAZN stablemates?handsofstone wrote: ↑18 Nov 2021, 18:51 I'm as bored of Andrade's career as the next man and I know he flatters to deceive but what more can he do to get a big fight, Charlo has no interest in a unification even on a PBC card, his manager even come out and said he would never deal with Andrade again after some issues years ago, disgraceful behaviour blocking your fighter from taking a fight because of your own personal beef, if anything Charlo should be demanding the fight but he seems to avoid any flak here

I don't know what they re waiting for but if Andrade wants to make some noise he should challenge Benavidez at 168 or at c/w and also keep his strap at mw. If things would go wrong for Andrade with Benavidez, then he'd still have a title at mw. But if he'd defeat Benavidez then he'd get Canelo's attention.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 04:16The interviews that Hearn and Andrade gave this week suggest they’ve resigned themselves to the fact Demetrius is unlikely to receive an opportunity to engage in a meaningful bout anytime soon.apollo creed wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 02:15Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 01:48 Andrade wins this fight, but the calibre of opposition he persistently faces in world title fights is pretty dire... and I have recently started hoping someone scores the upset.

Boo Boo even mentioned that he hasn’t got long left in the sport, because the “fountain of youth” eventually runs dry.
So I definitely agree with you, there aren’t any financially lucrative or commercially meaningful options for Andrade, but I think he’s due a mandatory title defence.
And when I look at the WBO’s rankings, their highest rated title challenger, Jaime Munguia, is facing Sergiy Derevyanchenko in a WBC final eliminator, to earn the right to challenge Jermall Charlo.
The number three rated Esquiva Falcao is engaging in an IBF eliminator to earn the right to challenge GGG.
So I’m assuming that Demetrius Andrade might be forced to face Janibek Alimkhanuly next (assuming the ten-fight novice beats Hassan N'Jikam this weekend), which I think is a very exciting prospect, despite the fact the Kazakh fighter in fairly anonymous.
Janibek Alimkhanuly’s amateur pedigree (according to the stats cited by The RING) are outrageously impressive (record 300-8; nine-time Kazakhstan national cham, two-time Asian champ; and 2013 World Championship gold medallist)!
Janibek Alimkhanuly could be the guy the finally dethrones Demetrius Andrade.
A bout between Benavidez and Andrade is an excellent idea!apollo creed wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 05:56I don't know what they re waiting for but if Andrade wants to make some noise he should challenge Benavidez at 168 or at c/w and also keep his strap at mw. Also Andrade is a big dude too. It's crazy how big framed fighters like Charlo and Andrade still make 160.

Both fighters are hyped-up, but regularly face poor opposition.
So the winner of that fight could realistically justify the praise that’s been prematurely bestowed on them and would have finally earned the right to engage in a well-deserved meaningful bout.

Yeah, it'd be good if Hearn would make Benavidez a good offer to fight Andrade at 168 or at 165lbs. I think Benavidez would not refuse it.
Also Benavidez should call out Andrade too.
After seeing that Canelo is aiming for challenging fights I don't think guys with poor resumes and profile like Bena and Andrade should coasting and wait for Canelo's call.
Maybe Canelo would want to fight Usyk or Fury in the future.
Both fighters are saying they are avoided, so if Benavidez would call out Andrade even at a C/W of 165, it would be a good fight. Benavidez still has some fat on his body. He's not shredded.Bandog wrote: ↑19 Nov 2021, 21:08 I honestly wish Benevidez would call out Andrade, but until Andrade moves up, it's lame to do that. I'd love to see that fight though!
Mall Charlo calling out Benevidez at 160 is totally pathetic, knowing Benevidez has to drain to make 168. Fight at your weight, move up, move down, STFU. Benevidez may be the best guy at 168 and 175, who knows? Only 23-24. I can see why Canelo doesn't want to fight him.
