He was only 3 times champion because he got chinned twice!
But never fought his main rival.bigjack wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 16:32Tyson is a good boxer,he's very fit,he has a good chin and he's tough but please don't try to discredit the achievements of Lewis because he got ko'd twice. He's an olympic champion,3 times world champion, was through most of his title reigns considered the top guy in the division, has avenged both losses inside the distance, made lots of defences against top contenders and tyson has yet to beat anyone decent other than an ancient Wladmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 16:20I think Joseph Parker said today "I thought I was fit until I trained with Tyson. Plus, he's not my hero. I like him. Why it causes such offence is beyond me.
and was good enough to overcome the mental challenges and go in and stop both, going on that theory then mick,Ali,Foreman etc were all worse than Tyson because they lost haha good one mickey boy
you mean Bowe who bottled it ?mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:00But never fought his main rival.bigjack wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 16:32Tyson is a good boxer,he's very fit,he has a good chin and he's tough but please don't try to discredit the achievements of Lewis because he got ko'd twice. He's an olympic champion,3 times world champion, was through most of his title reigns considered the top guy in the division, has avenged both losses inside the distance, made lots of defences against top contenders and tyson has yet to beat anyone decent other than an ancient Wladmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 16:20

so he's only achieved more than the majority of champions because he was worse than most ? ffs mickey
I never mentioned Tyson. But why did Lennox have to win it 3 times? I think he got the first through the post!
he won it 3 times because he wanted to fight not go on the piss for nearly 3 years, the one through the post as you put it,was according to our own boxrec given to lewis because bowe ducked the man who had previously ko'd himmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:10I never mentioned Tyson. He stopped him on his feet in the ams. Shawn Porter beat Usyk in the ams, could he do it now?bigjack wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:14he won it 3 times because he wanted to fight not go on the piss for nearly 3 years, the one through the post as you put it,was according to our own boxrec given to lewis because bowe ducked the man who had previously ko'd himmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:10I never mentioned Tyson. not to get pissed and off his nut on coke,i'm sure there was a reason why he had three years away but i can't quite remember why
Look, I'm just messing around. I respect Lennox, but I do think Bowe would have beaten him. He's the most underrated heavyweight of his time.
i actually thought bowe would have won at the time,he matured earlier than Lewis and history showed bowe regressed quicker,i said you were on a wind upmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:51Look, I'm just messing around. Yeah, I agree. Lewis was wobbly despite getting up faster, and history shows it was okay to let Fury continue. My point was that I think Lewis would've recovered enough had he been given another 10 seconds.stujones wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 07:05However, I think it would have been very harsh to call off Fury vs Wilder as Fury got up (waved it off when he was sprawled on the ground would have been acceptable as he looked out) but when Fury rose and BEAT the count his legs were strong and his eyes were clear. Lewis whilst he beat the count quicker was all over the place after 10 seconds. It would have been a Curry vs McCorry style KO had the ref continued it.
I agree, Bowe at that time was the more complete fighter hard to See him not finding the chinks in Lewis' armour, and his inside work would have caused significant problems for Lewis. Bowe was the business at that stage of his career.bigjack wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:55i actually thought bowe would have won at the time,he matured earlier than Lewis and history showed bowe regressed quicker,i said you were on a wind upmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 17:51Look, I'm just messing around. Ironically it would have probably been Bowe's defining fight, strange how fast things change in boxingjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 19:39I agree, Bowe at that time was the more complete fighter hard to See him not finding the chinks in Lewis' armour, and his inside work would have caused significant problems for Lewis. From all the reading I've done on the subject, I've come to conclusion, that Bowe wasn't afraid of Lewis, he was bitter over the olympics, and didn't see why he should give him the opportunity, Rock Newman was also an exceptionally difficult man.
they will all be talked about in years to come for similar reasons, wilder fury 3 was the most exciting long fight i've seen in the heavyweight division for decadesmickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Dec 2021, 04:18 I'm not on the wind up here, but every reference to Fury-Wilder includes Bowe-Holyfield.
playing the colour card is a really skanky low blow .mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2021, 16:00 The amount of Lewis fanboys on here who only like him because they want to be black is shocking. You're white, lads, get over it. And your hero got knocked out, twice.
