I think Joseph Parker said today "I thought I was fit until I trained with Tyson. But he is just on another level".
Plus, he's not my hero. I like him. Why it causes such offence is beyond me.
Tyson is a good boxer,he's very fit,he has a good chin and he's tough but please don't try to discredit the achievements of Lewis because he got ko'd twice.He's an olympic champion,3 times world champion,was through most of his title reigns considered the top guy in the division,has avenged both losses inside the distance,made lots of defences against top contenders and tyson has yet to beat anyone decent other than an ancient Wlad
But never fought his main rival.

Look, I'm just messing around. I respect Lennox, but I do think Bowe would have beaten him. He's the most underrated heavyweight of his time.

Yeah, I agree. Lewis was wobbly despite getting up faster, and history shows it was okay to let Fury continue. My point was that I think Lewis would've recovered enough had he been given another 10 seconds.
How many refs would've let Fury continue were they forced to make a call on the 10th second, with are-you-okay and walk-to-mes frowned upon... I think Fury would've been stopped in the '90s. Preferring one style of refereeing to the other's just preference.
And Bowe might've beaten Lewis but he didn't want it. I suspect the same's true of Fury and Joyce.

I agree, Bowe at that time was the more complete fighter hard to See him not finding the chinks in Lewis' armour, and his inside work would have caused significant problems for Lewis. Bowe was the business at that stage of his career.
From all the reading I've done on the subject, I've come to conclusion, that Bowe wasn't afraid of Lewis, he was bitter over the olympics, and didn't see why he should give him the opportunity, Rock Newman was also an exceptionally difficult man.
