It’s strange isn’t it. Eddie will keep doing this stuff as it gives him a platform to push himself/his shows but it’s surprising that people genuinely think he’ll be able to turn around a troubled sport.

Interesting. The only thing I read about their interest in Rugby League was that they wouldn’t do it because they couldn’t have full control. That was just hearsay though.

The 3pm blackout will be gone across the divisions next round of deals IMO. Every game broadcast live in the PL and Championship.
When you consider DAZN is more expensive than Netflix / Amazon Prime / Apple Music etc, even when you sign up for 12 months (and twice as expensive if you do it regular monthly) and then you’ve got PPV on top of that, it’s a real pisstake.

Value is only relative to people individually though I think. I probably watch one movie a month on Netflix and pay £11 for it whilst I watch all the boxing on DAZN plus the PFL.
I can’t remember the last time I watched something on Prime either but wouldn’t get rid due to the delivery aspect.
I think if you’re going to watch the bulk of boxing content on DAZN then it’s good value at either £9.99/month or £100 for the year.
They will need deep pockets to get the EFL rights especially as they've split them into packages. DAZN will probably get the bottom package of something like 10 League 2 games on a Tuesday night if they get anything at all

If the figures don't add up it does not matter who it is. We have to be honest the interest in boxing diminished years ago. Eddie leaving Sky did not help. That was a huge mistake on his part imo
So not just Tank vs Garcia, but Canelo vs Ryder is also PPV in the U.S. but not in UK. Isn't that interesting? It's a good deal in the UK for Davis Garcia alone.

Recorded Joshua v Franklin and watched it via Sky. Way better interface than the DAZN app. So much easier to whizz through the adverts and promos, of which there seemed more than usual. Maybe they have to recoup the dough they pay to Sky.

Viaplay got the Euro qualifiers as SKY/BT didn't want to pay what was wanted , DAZN could have gone for those. Worse than having no rights for other sports is over paying for them and ending up like Setanta and ITV Digital.
I do not understand Setanta and now DAZN business model…
We have said it time and time again, whilst the core of the most ardent boxing fans love the sport there is simply no where near enough of them to prevent the closing shutters to be locked up.
It has also been stated time and time again boxing in the UK is one them sports used to supplement football channels.
The new football contract is due in 2025 … if Eddie has impressed his paymasters than maybe jyst maybe boxing will survive on DAZN.
Boxing is a massive minority sport the only time it surfaces into people’s minds is when there is a BIG PPV event.
Another FACT for those in denial is professional boxing im this country is not even the largest In boxing!!!…. White Collar Boxing & Misfits have a runaway lead in the rating stakes.
