Hope Allen can land hard and early, see what Fisher makes of it, a tear up could favour Allen.

Is Allen in shape to go into the trenches for 10 rounds? How many rounds will he need to take off?

Hi Greg, I do not know the boxing world much. I know Kerry via bodybuilding, when he owned CNP and was a big player in UK bodybuilding with the EFBB/UKBFF, hence mentioning he will be well guided if he listens to him for nutrition. Most boxing people know Kerry as Hatton's old nutrionist and more recently as a cutsman, but Kerry was one of the leading lights in transforming bodybuilding nutrition and the domestic scene in the 90s and noughties when he was working with Dorian Yates. I will not go into it here but he was a HEAVY character and has helped people close to me - he loves boxing, has about triple digit millions and does not need to be involved in boxing and does not charge a bean for anyone he works with.

I am local to Dave though, and know people he knows well. He gets up too 22 stone which is way too heavy for a 6ft 3 endomorph. I hope he has been training and he really just does need to weight cut, if it just that and he does exactly what Kerry says he will be a good weight - but I am not sure at all that Dave will ever consistently follow advice. He seems weak minded in this regard.
I’m not an endomorph I’m a mesomorph I break all records for muscle mass wherever I get tested haha just 15 years of donuts and fizzy pop got me looking like shit but I was a very good athlete in my younger days and that and being tough and experienced gets me by, I will look like shit on the scales for the rematch but it won’t stop me winning it
I have been posting on here in one guise or another for well over 20 years and have never got a heavyweight prediction wrong.

I am picking you to win by stoppage. Don't let me down!
Thank you for being you, Dave. Well done!!

What a KO. Fair play to Allen over the moon for him, seems like a proper sound man

That finish was Dave's version of Tyson finishing Bruno in their first fight. He's so cool of mind I wouldn't be surprised if that’s exactly what he was thinking about.

I think Fisher did the right thing, boxed at range, looking to save some energy, also started banging Allen low to slow him down a bit too.

However ultimately he just wasn't good enough.

Realistically Fisher needs to be matched against smaller, weaker guys

Event with nice stoppages, Allen smashed Fisher's hype right at the buzzer beater

It was a good attempt.
Allen was just waiting until Fisher eased off the gas and then launched his attack.
Fisher brought nothing new, and was punished for it.

In some regards Fisher brought less this time because his jab wasn't used properly. That's the weapon to subdue Allen.

Nope not at all. He was getting countered off the jab. The punch to use was the uppercut because Allen was over his front foot. Allen beats him most nights, unfortunately for fisher he is more a ticket seller than anything else

I do think Fisher should try for a 3rd match with Allen at some point, but not for another few years. He needs to train, and work on his flaws, and see if he can get any better. At the very least maybe he could get good enough to beat Dave Allen in 3 years time, and give himself a bit of redemption that way.

I don't see anything beyond British level for the guy though, and that's ok. This will certainly hurt his popularity, but if he could build himself up enough to beat Dave legitimately in a few years time there may still be a few big opportunities for him in the sport.

We'll see.

I don’t think we will see Fisher again in any meaningful way, sometimes the flaws get exposed, he’s super hard working but Dave broke him

I also think his Pa being so unlikeable will limit him, people are sick of him and his whining, he managed to make GAD popular and that is no mean feat (not being nasty I happen to like him). The arrogance around them got literally knocked out

Yeah all of that talk and then Johnny gets splattered... by Dave Allen...
