I don’t think so.

I’d imagine most people, including me, thinks he beats Usyk. I think if he’s mentally right then he beats everyone.

People are just frustrated with his constant nonsense now. He could have fought Usyk when he fought Whyte but only if he could have fight before it so it didn’t happen. He retires. Calls out anyone from strong men, to top boxers, to wrestlers, to undeserving boxers, gives unrealistic deadlines to AJ where they seemed to be having serious negotiations.

I love Tyson Fury as a boxer. Seen him 10 or so times live including when he beat Wlad but I’m completely bored of his rubbish now and just wish he fights a proper opponent rather than the Chisora/Charr nonsense.
I know a lot more people who think Usyk wins rather than Tyson.

Anyone wants to make a large bet I’m happy to put money where my mouth is.
Interesting.

I’ll happily take a bet with you. Fingers crossed the fight gets made.

Very interesting and detailed update from George Warren on TalkSport as to what happened over the last 7 days.

Yeah. He seems far more measured than his old man.

The only points that I don’t think were covered were relating to last week’s second deadline on the Thursday from Tyson (the same day Eddie said they’d send back comments), the suggestion that the mediator they wanted also represented them or Tyson and the contract supposedly being sent to Chisora on Friday.

I could be wrong but I think if Tyson kept his mouth shut then either the deal gets done or the blame is on Matchroom.

It was interesting but possibly a wee bit disengenerous to say they had offered an independent arbitrator when that company is an arm of BT Sports..(according to Hearn)

Even as a layperson, it seems clear to me that Fury doesn't want to fight Usyk. Or even Josuha particularly tbh.

I should say that George Warren came over well, though: very clear and articulate. Like Eddie Hearn. A shame for everyone it didn't come off as I think it would have been a good fight.

Ultimately we on the outside of negotiations can only make an opinion based on prior history - as others here have said; Joshua has not been shy at stepping up whereas Fury has history of spouting off and then stepping back.

Or you could evaluate each case on its own merits.

Which might be a more successful approach.

My favourite quote from Hearn, in response to nonsense comments from Bob Arum:

"Let's be honest, if you asked Bob Arum what day of the week it was, there is only a 50% chance he would get it right".

My final comment on Fury's negotiation tactics against Joshua, is actually Dan Raphael's comments:

" my experience tells me that the fighter negotiating by social media doesn't actually want the fight".

It might be - it might also not be.

So best go by what you know of past experience :TU:

It's interesting how Eddie often mentions, truthfully, how Tyson is absolutely full of shite but when it comes to the deadlines apparently it was gospel. Why put so much stock in the word of a man who changes his mind all the time?

But i have no such qualms and will answer for hime YES , YES and YES ,, NOT ONLY THAT HE'S A USER AND A MANIPULATOR ,,, HE'S ALSO VERY VERY GOOD AT IT ,,, and guess what i think he's gonna get the fight he's wanted all along ,, a hard spar with his mate Chisora ,, , hence the false arguments recently ,, I think even Charr is too big a risk , he will bring his own script

They all lie.

It's not like one party is a bastion of truth compared to the others.

It's all about money, ego and being seen to get one up on the other party.
