Call off's are commonplace in boxing, even more so these days but its only one promoter who keeps announcing fights before there signed, that promoter should know better than most,he knew exactly what he was doing and is taking everyone for a ride, its like the FA announcing who'll be playing in this years final at wembley just by who the 2 favourites are,he deserves to be made to give everyone a refund and maybe, just maybe he'll learn his lesson

On a sidenote,Sykes/Walsh was on the schedule too but not now ,then i read on the infobar on ringside that Walsh has to accept the fight for the vacant British belt,i thought Gary beat Kays for the lonsdale??

I would expect the BBBoC to be speaking to him about his conduct. Why are so many boxers so backwards? Talking about rape etc... Absolute simpleton.
I didnt see that but that surprises me as Saunders seems one of the more sensible fighters

Agreed. It's unnecessary and it shouldn't be encouraged by these fucktards around him smiling and mumbling in agreement with him.

So who is BJS gonna fight now if he is fighting for a World Title??? The fake WBA World Title against Daniel Jacobs??? I personally wouldnt mind seeing that...

Still a big let down though :(

Eubank's been tweeting. Saying he's being rushed into things before his lawyers have looked at the contract and when they ok it he will still sign

Personally, i dont think it is the right move for Eubank and so i dont blame him for not signing. Unnecessary jump up.

Mr Warren really shouldn't be announcing fights if they havent been signed. Very misleading.

Well that is THE question now. So we've got:

WBC & WBA - Gennady Golovkin
WBA "Super" - Daniel Jacobs
WBO - Peter Quillin
IBF - Sam Soliman

Golovkin is singed to fight Rubio & Soliman is fighting Jermain Taylor.

So it's definitely either Jacobs or Soliman.

He's had the contract in his possession for over a month. He verbally agreed to all of it, then the contract was sent to him. And here we are now, and he still hasn't singed for his part.

I think he's been sending them back with issues, so I don't think he's had the latest contract for that long

If that is his take, it's clear that he wants to stall for more time. In my opinion his logic is definitely flawed. This fight has been on Boxrec, with the date set and it has been talked about for a while now, why then come out all of a sudden and say that he needs to be given more time and making accusations against Warren?

I'm really not too sure about that.

:shame:

We've not read the contract. BJS is understandably disappointed as this would've been a big pay day but if it meant Eubank signing his future away to FW you can surely see why they may be reluctant?

How do you know he verbally agreed, a month ago, to what is in the contract as it stands today ?

I wouldn't call myself a fan of either fighter but was looking forward to this fight and so like to think I'm quite impartial.

It's harsh to blame Eubank for this. As far as im aware, he's never confirmed this is happening and hasn't pulled out of the fight. Pressure has come from a promoter who has announced and sold tickets to this fight without it being signed.

A promoter doing this once is a mistake, twice is, three times is ...

I'm not a fan of either.

Frank has openly stated that the contract contained a number of options on Eubank in the event of a win. The Eubanks' reluctance to sign on those terms and Frank's insistence on such robust options point more towards doubt from the Saunders camp than the other way around.

The word "options" can sound so innocent or insignificant, I think some people don't realise the gravity of the concept. It means the fighter signs his immediate future to a promoter. And if you are daft enough to think "so what, just fight the agreed amount of fights, then walk away" dream on - look at what is happening to Chavez jnr. He won't sign an extension so his promoter isn't getting him the fights.

In Eubank's case, the promoter we are talking about is one who has previously sued his own fighters (well, ex-fighters) claiming to have had "verbal" contracts to extend their deal with him, which the fighters denied.

In other words, you are getting yourself into something that might be very hard to get out of. No wonder Eubank jr wants his lawyers to work through the small print. He would be utterly mad not to.

He's not had 'the' contract, drafts have bounced back and forth between both parties. Everything we've heard today points towards the money being agreed by both sides but the demands Frank would make of Eubank going forward if he won are unacceptable. If I were Billy I'd be asking Frank why he's being so unbending, does he not think his man will win?

Excellent point.

While we're at it, I wonder if Fwank gets options on Tyson Fury in the event of him beating Chisora ?
