By bigger I meant Canelo began as a welterweight and moved up. He is significantly shorter than Bivol,. Bivol also has a reach advantage and has always fought above 173. Cáñelo has fought once above 173. By the time they are in the ring Cáñelo may weight more, who knows

Bivol is the one that might have a tough time with size, very little experience fighting 5'8 nuggets, thats gunna throw everything off a bit. And sure you can try and recreate it in sparring, but how? with who? Daid Lemieux is probably your best bet.... cant think of many others...

Thanks, wasn’t looking for a debate. I think you know essentially I am saying Bivol is a light heavyweight and has been his entire career and Canelo is not. Not sure that is arguable

That’s not technically correct.

There’s a different referee and one of the judges didn’t work Canelo-GGG II (i.e. Russell Mora and Tim Cheatham).

Also, the NSAC only has a certain amount of referees and judges at their disposal, which means it’s commonplace to see the same set of senior officials working marquee bouts staged in Las Vegas.

For instance: Tim Cheatham, Dave Moretti and Steve Weisfeld worked on many bouts that were staged in Las Vegas that involved Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

Meaning that any fighter that competes in Las Vegas will have a reasonable expectation as to whom would be officiating their bouts.

Also, Steve Weisfeld and Russell Mora have both previously worked on Dmitry Bivol bouts.

Therefore, unless you’re new to the sport of boxing, I really don’t understand the reason for your outrage and your shock about the judges working the Canelo-Bivol bout.

You have to be able to see that two of the judges for this bout were the two judges (the only 2) that gave Canelo a controversial win over GGG. (Controversial, not calling it a robbery). And that that fact is in itself controversial.

Now I admit it's not Byrd... Byrd would be a full on riot. But personally I think they could created a situation where bivols fate wasn't in the hands of two judges that gave Canelo his most famous and most famously questioned victory.

Having 1 judge with questionmarks isn't the end of the world, the other two can overrule. But having two that don't have fans confidence is a problem that can be avoided.

Now it depends what contact sports did/do you practice. I think a good wrestler or a kick boxer could do some damages to a pro boxer or to a karate teacher. I saw some skinny good kick boxers that literally can chop down massive guys with low kicks or middle kicks. Their shins are hard as concrete.

Anyway, good kb or muay thai fighters have brutal leg kicks. If you don't believe me, you could enter in a good kb/ muay thai gym and spar the best fighters of that gym.

I think kb and muay thai are the most effective combat sports in a real street fight. I saw some brutal kb sparrings with lots of creative attacks, using all the moves in the book. Those guys were made from iron.
