Speak for yourself Finny. Trump seems to live rent free in your head.
You are right Tinnie. The middle East is very peaceful.. Trump is doing a great job. I think it's fine that trump makes 100% of his decisions based on who likes him. :brick: :brick: :brick: :brick:

It’s probably true that Trump lives rent free in the heads of hundreds of millions of people around the world - from the MAGA cult members to people who can’t stand him, and everybody in between. I think that makes Trumpy very happy.

The most revealing thing about trump I've ever heard, is that he once mused, "No one knows who my billionaire friends are. These guys aren't famous. No one has heard of them." :oo WoW!

I ain't anti money. I'm not anti wealth. Free time is paramount. And a billionaire can get prime you know what. :-P I understand those benefits and private yards and stuff like that but only an asshole wants to be famous. Just my opinion.

I tend with agree with the idea that the "Average Joe" cares more about the economy that foreign affairs. Though sometimes they are intertwined. The Iranian War has caused worse inflation.

It's also not just how well the Economy is actually doing. It's what people think it's doing. In 1984, the economy was awful. Unemployment was well over 7%; about the same as when Reagan took office and way higher than it has been for several years. Inflation Rate was higher than it is now.
However, Reagan sold it as the economy doing great. (He seemed much more authentic in his lies than Trump does.) And people believed it. And he won 49 out of 50 states when he ran for reelection in 1984.

When Biden was President, we had record low unemployment. But the Democrats didn't sell that very well and eggs prices were high and they did a bad job of explaining why.
With the economy, you can usually find something bad or something good. Selling the good or the bad is an art form.

If independents (who vote) can't make up their mind how good the good the economy, foreign policy and/or other issues make the difference in elections.

Maybe I’m wrong but it seems like you took umbrage to my little quip. If it doesn’t apply to you then there was no need to be snarky, unless you’re just doing your usual Devil’s advocate routine.

And nobody lives rent free in my head because it’s already full up with all the other personalities that are in there. :-P

You’re not wrong. He’s just the biggest, most important narcissist in a world with too many narcissists and too much fast-food social media, so his constant lies get him more of what he desperately craves most ….. attention.

Considering Alp was responding directly to my post, certainly seemed to appear your comment was directed at me. If that wasnt the case, chalk it up to a misunderstanding and i'll leave it at that. I dont really have any desire to engage in shit slinging :TU:

Houthis captured the key port of Mocha, and they didn't take it because they wanted Latte's. The Red Sea is only 30 miles wide there. Bad news for the Saudis  :yay: :TU:

Seems like one group of evil, heavily armed religious nuts vs another, only with more money. Hard for me to work up a rooting interest

Best move Trumpy could make to restore at least some people’s confidence that he’s paying attention and not asleep at the wheel is fire Whiskey Pete and replace him with a competent general or admiral or somebody with better credentials than “Fox News commentator.” Hell, voters would probably settle for the fake professional wrestling executive running the Department of Education. There are probably plenty of better qualified conservative military leaders available

Trump's Iran War

As of September 11, 2026: roughly $37 to 40+ billion in acknowledged direct military cost so far, tens of billions more requested, and over $100 billion already paid by U.S. consumers in higher energy prices.

The war is not over, so the ledger is still growing.

In a good move at the moment, the US has refused to conduct airstrikes on the Houthis, who are kicking Saudi ass right now. Hopefully that won't change if that particular conflict intensifies. The Saudis have bombed Yemen numerous times, but the media acts like it's some kind of catastrophe when the Houthis launch strikes back. Anything bad that happens to the Saudis is good for the world.

In fairness, Trumpy didn't nominate the biggest corporate whore on the bench (Thomas) or the second-biggest lapdog, Alieto.
