I don't see it. Ramirez is a totally different proposition to anyone Jay's boxed. I think Zurdo can outwork him and outmanoeuvre him. It could go either way, but I really don't think it's an easy night's work for anyone. I'd have Zurdo as the favourite.
If he gets hit as easily as he did tonight he'll get busted up badly.

Be interesting to see how the bookies post it. I had Zurdo as a big favourite going into tonight. The bookies gave me a ridiculously generous 4/9.
I don't think anyone is stopping Zurdo and I think he'll be busier than Jai and will out work him. Maybe the Aussie will land some big shots to impress the judges.

Zurdo moped the ring with CBS, I expected it to be tougher for Ramirez.
Great performance by Farmer, who I got up one point against Camaron. JC Ramirez looked off and Barboza snatched finally his way to a title shot.
Collazo is king of straw-weights.

Styles make fights , Jai and Billam would be a war , Jai is probably the better boxer but Billam would find him easier to hit than Ramirez , Jai i feel would coe out on top and maybee stop Billan Chris just had no idea against a southpaw or if he did he just could'nt implement anything , just watch how he kept leaving his head or even moving his head into that left hand .
Ramirez --Jai ,, Mmmm read some people thinking its an easy night for Jai , , I don't think so i believe this is a 50-50 fight Ramrez is crafty , wether or not he could hurt Jai i don't know , but then again would Jai hurt him , once again i don't know Chris never fazed him , then again Chris did'nt land much with the body behind the punch either he was all arm punches .
Its definetly up there with one i want to see , i think Raminez may be the smoothest , best boxer Jai will have met , but then again Jai would probably be the hardest hitter and most ferocious Ramirez has met
Bring it on please Mr King Tut Tut , I for one am glad of the Saudi connection

id lean jai over zurdo, but he defo wouldnt have an easy blast out session. zurdo has a good chin and puts his shots together nice and clean.
despite looking a touch soft , his fitness at 200 also seems fairly good. smith is known to outlast guys but zurdo was shellacking him in the 11th and 12th

It'd be premature to talk of retirement for Chris but i wouldn't wanna see him in another fight like that. He's a hero of a man but possibly too brave for his own good.

118-110 Ramirez, mad to think one card wasn't kicking the arse of a 7-5, Billam-Smith as brave as ever, won't take a backward step let along quit or wilt, he had a good 1st was tagging Ramirez clean but after that Ramirez took over, he might look like he's ate his way up to cruiser but he was fluid in his combination punching, sharper and his footwork was nimble and he was able to easily get out of harms way as Billam-Smith pressed , CBS landed some big shots himself and just about matched Ramirez for volume but the punches landed was always with Ramirez who was excellent, Zurdo showing CBS levels but just shows you how seriously skilled Dmitry Bivol is,

CBS is a good fighter, obviously he will be gutted to lose the title but will keep himself in the mix with this gutsy performance

Just watched it this morning. CBS got the fire slapped out of him.
Tough as okd boots, just didn't have the skills or the smarts to mix it with Zurdo.
Shows the levels of Bivol, the way he essentially shut Zurdo down.
CBS took a borderline shellacking there

I hope Chris got paid a decent chunk last night. One thing is for sure, he earned it.
I really enjoyed last night's bill, some really good fights on there. It's such a refreshing change to not have to sit through a host of 5-0 vs 3-47 fights.

Correct. It wasn't a Dubois Aj or the recent Tsyu beating, but it was very close to a respectable shellacking.
CBS took more than I'd like to see my man take. If that were my son in there I'd have appreciated some compassion from the corner

I still lean toward Jai but he could end up gassing out in the later rounds and zurdo seemed to get stronger last night as the fight went on .....

Apart from pivoting right, Zurdo stayed in the pocket and blocked an awful lot of shots.

Scored it 119-109 to Ramirez. I feel a bit guilty about that as it seems harsh given the effort CBS put in but there was only round 10 that I felt was a potential CBS round that I didn’t give him.
Having said that there was only round 4 & one of the middle rounds that I thought were completely one sided.
In all the others he landed plenty of his own shots & was competitive despite coming off second best.
Fair play to Ramirez. He was a lot better than I expected. He’s a class fighter & could well dominate at cruiser for years to come if Opetaia moves up.
I thought Johnny Nelson’s comments were really poor. Criticising CBS & having a go at him for taking too many shots. He just got found out at the top level (which is a bloody good level to get found out at!). He’s got the most out of his ability & showed a good defence in the Okolie & Riakhporhe fights. Ramirez just had more ability & variation.

CBS as gritty & gutsy as ever. The determination on the guy is unreal ! There's a fascination in boxing to highlight boxers who are chinny....CBS isn't one of them !! Good God, he's second only only to Carl Froch
Ramirez deserved his win no doubt, but CBS pushed him hard
