Everyone at the show (doctors, refs etc) knows who pays the bills.....

Barrera was an utter farce...

go back to the Hatton/Thaxton/Rowlands fights too for more of the same!!!!
That's my point - it's not just the referee people need to look at. The Doctor in the Khan fight could have stepped in, looked at the cut between rounds, and said that the fight should be stopped. Instead he kept on asking Barrerea if he could continue, and it was clear, even without understanding the language, that Barrera was saying he couldn't see shit, so why did the doctor allow it to continue?

Khan and Barrera was a big PPV.

The overwhelming majority of the people in the stadiums were Barrera fans, and were British, who were booing Khan.

They paid to see Barrera.

Everybody wanted it to go on, however the Doc asked Barrera if he wanted to go on or not, BARRERA SAID YES.

If they stopped it, i'm pretty sure everyone would have made some stupid excuses into blaming Khan and the red for stopping it to "protect khan" or some other nonesense

Barrera would have lost if he said "no", so what else could he do? The point is that the fight should have been stopped before it would go to the scorecards. It should have been a 'No Contest'. They could always have had a rematch once Barrera's cut was better.

nonsense. You don't know the personal motivations of 18 thousand people going to a boxing match. It's true I went down to witness an ATG, I just wanted to see a competitive fight and hoped that Barrera hadn't "shot it". Which he hadn't, he was against the ropes 3 or 4 times while Khan flurried but he remained composed and for me was in trouble at no point in the fight. The cut robbed us of possibly a Barrera comeback but we'll never find out now.
I am also a Khan fan....if Barrera had got in the ring and started mercilessly battering Khan about I would have been rooting for the Boltoner to turn it around. He's a super, young, British prospect people should get behind.
As for the majority booing Khan......don't know what part of the Arena you were sat in mate.

You don't realise that the referee can have a huge affect on the outcome of the fight?

You haven't a clue what you're on about mate.

It isn't the doctors job to canvas the fighter about whether or not he is fit to continue, no more than a doctor would ask a patient if they were fine to walk on two broken legs.

The doctor should have taken control of the situation and said that Barrera's vision was impaired, and that therefore he was not fit to continue, not ask him if he was alright to carry on when there is blood gushing down his face and into his eye. Barrera was clearly gesturing to indicate that he couldn't see out of the affected eye, yet the doctor did absolutely jack all. Unforgivable.

Observer... it was very daft for the doctor to ask that question, well either daft or very clever.

Barrera says "no" - He quits... Khan wins.

Barrera says "yes" - he goes on till the 5th - Khan wins.
