Thats a great call.
We could also paint "Bring Back Bunce" on Railway bridges. A bit like the George Davis campaign of the 60's.
That would get it in the papers.

i can understand some people not liking buncey or his style sometimes.
however you cant ignore the amount of interviews and the information we got to hear about during the boxing hour. also we heard from boxers who would never have gotten the oppertunity to talk on tv.

From Five TV:
Thank you for your note regarding the Steve Bunce Boxing Programme.
As you know Setanta decided to broadcast a significant amount of boxing on their channel, including more than 40 live shows a year. With that commitment to the sport it’s not surprising that they had a regular magazine show to complement their output.
Five has a limited amount of boxing, generally the ESPN Friday Night Fights played in out Late Night Sports spot. We don’t, therefore have enough of a commitment to commission a boxing show of this type.
It’s worth pointing out that Setanta had a huge amount of airtime to fill on their dedicated sports channels whereas on a terrestrial entertainment channel there are many other programmes competing for a place in the schedule. Although you clearly have a strong commitment to the show and may disagree I don’t believe it would be popular enough to displace other programming and that is how we have to make commissioning decisions.
I’m sure Steve’s talents won’t be lost to broadcasting but I don’t envisage this show coming to Five in the near future.
Yours sincerely
Robert Charles
