it's going to be a great fight and i'm leaning towards the thai. i was ringside for his last fight and he has never looked stronger. i doubt dunne can keep him off but the irish kid has got a huge heart so this should be a cracker.

Should be a good fight very tough fight for Dunne I hope he wins he is very entertaining to watch

heart was one of the things that kept dune in that cordoba fight. i got the feeling he was fighting on fumes, inspiration, a bit of speed & perhaps crowd inspiration. i doubt he can keep this up for long at 122

looks about the same to me - same style as well except Poonsawat looks much slicker

Of course he's better than Kiko, but I think Dunne is too, although he's unlikely to be having a rematch with him anytime soon to prove it.

I'd need to see a full fight of him to judge. Going by the fight reports though, he seems pretty good.

Peters has done well winning the rights, as Poonsawat has only fought once outside of Thailand and that was the fight he lost. From what I can gather he carries decent power and can pressure fight as well as box, so Dunne will have a tough night on his hands.

On the Cordoba fight report it said that Cordoba was outboxing him in the early rounds and beating him to the punch with his speed but Poonsawat gradually wore him down with body shots to close the gap and took over. Cordoba always seems to slow down late in fights though.

I'm reserving judgement until I can see some proper footage of the guy.

It is a great match and I am really looking forward to it. I think Poonsawat will win, probably by KO - but I thoght Cordoba would win as well! I love being proven wrong.

And to be fair to Dunne he showed me something in the Cordoba fight that I never saw before so maybe I got him wrong.

I meant the whole name. I could guess at his first name easily enough. ;;-)

Thais use their first names more than their surnames anyway, so it would be correct (and easier) to call him Poonsawat in the commentary.

For example, in Thailand you'd be Mr Charles, rather than Mr Sexton.

is Munroe really pressing for a fight against the Japanese WBC champ Nishioka? that's a belt he's rated for. does a trip to japan really put them off that badly?
