Mee Khong Thai whiskey and red bull, that sends me a bit spanners
i go for dunne. bigger, fastre bloke. however, dunne could have problems punching down, and as duke mckenzie pointed out one time, he has a very wide guard that can be punched throughAdamj1987 wrote:poonsawat will win this i think in a tough fight
perhaps the mouthful of a name will put a stopper in the mouth of that hyperbolic, hyperventilating commentator. the aussies and the irish, they love their winners don't theylowersmiths wrote:just how it is spelt
poonsawat (but with a closed consanant at the end)
and his surname just means ''red bull gym'' who are his sponsors
it's going to be a great fight and i'm leaning towards the thai. i was ringside for his last fight and he has never looked stronger. i doubt dunne can keep him off but the irish kid has got a huge heart so this should be a cracker.Autobarn wrote:i go for dunne. bigger, fastre bloke. however, dunne could have problems punching down, and as duke mckenzie pointed out one time, he has a very wide guard that can be punched throughAdamj1987 wrote:poonsawat will win this i think in a tough fight
i like dunne. after all he's done, after all he's won, he's still a "regular" guy
great fight, very credible title defence, and it looks good that - like dunne - poonsawat has beaten cordoba, also in a classic.
heart was one of the things that kept dune in that cordoba fight. i got the feeling he was fighting on fumes, inspiration, a bit of speed & perhaps crowd inspiration. i doubt he can keep this up for long at 122lowersmiths wrote:it's going to be a great fight and i'm leaning towards the thai. i was ringside for his last fight and he has never looked stronger. i doubt dunne can keep him off but the irish kid has got a huge heart so this should be a cracker.Autobarn wrote:i go for dunne. bigger, fastre bloke. however, dunne could have problems punching down, and as duke mckenzie pointed out one time, he has a very wide guard that can be punched throughAdamj1987 wrote:poonsawat will win this i think in a tough fight

i think you got it right there sligobhoysligobhoy67 wrote:Poon-sa-wat.Asterix wrote:How is Poonsawat's name pronounced?
Any else think that he reminders them of a quicker, slicker Kiko? gulp!
Because Monroe isn't a world champion, and fighters would usually rather fight for a world title than nothing.Steve89 wrote:Munroe would demolish both of these clowns. Why don't Poonswat fight Munroe eh?
LOL the Thai will beat them both.Steve89 wrote:Munroe would demolish both of these clowns. Why don't Poonswat fight Munroe eh?

Nothing but a beating for both of them and they know it. How is it that Dunne is fighting in "world title fights" Martinez is fighting in a world title eliminator and Munroe is being dodged by every superbantamweight.hitman09 wrote:Steve89 wrote:Munroe would demolish both of these clowns. Because Munroe is a level below both of them, and brings nothing to the table.
cos he is such an animal and filling lesuire centres wherever he goes!Steve89 wrote:Nothing but a beating for both of them and they know it. what like Kiko?Cannibal wrote:Poonsawat looks tiny even for a super bantam. Dunne is probably gonna look huge next to him on the night.
Kiko had 2 inches on this guy and was much broader.sligobhoy67 wrote:what like Kiko?Cannibal wrote:Poonsawat looks tiny even for a super bantam. Dunne is probably gonna look huge next to him on the night.
looks about the same to me - same style as well except Poonsawat looks much slickerCannibal wrote:Kiko had 2 inches on this guy and was much broader.sligobhoy67 wrote:what like Kiko?Cannibal wrote:Poonsawat looks tiny even for a super bantam. sounds like the Dunne fight tbh!Cannibal wrote:On the Cordoba fight report it said that Cordoba was outboxing him in the early rounds and beating him to the punch with his speed but Poonsawat gradually wore him down with body shots to close the gap and took over. Cordoba always seems to slow down late in fights though..
Thais use their first names more than their surnames anyway, so it would be correct (and easier) to call him Poonsawat in the commentary.Asterix wrote:I meant the whole name. I could guess at his first name easily enough. ;;-)lowersmiths wrote:just how it is spelt

yes he was offered £300,000 by maloney for the munroe fight..but i knw for a fact dunne would gte outboxed by rendall munroe...hmmmm this pooonsawat i havn't seen much of every1 keeps saying he is good but look at his RECORD he has fought all BUMS apart from a decent CORDOBA who he beat split decision..howeveer bernard dunne isn't very good to be honest his last fight was spectacular..i think cordoba was slightly overated going into the fight..but dune showed heart and stamina..well done to the lad but i cant see him holding onto the belt for much longer..we;; if you look at his fight with kiko martinez then you will see how average dunne is in my view! munroe schooled martinez twiceBARNEYKX wrote:Dunne should have went for Munroe,he sure is up against it with Poonsawat i cannot se dunne winning this one,but good luck to him anyway
is Munroe really pressing for a fight against the Japanese WBC champ Nishioka? that's a belt he's rated for. does a trip to japan really put them off that badly?Steve89 wrote:Nothing but a beating for both of them and they know it.
