Twenty Six & anyone else!!!

Froch will not leave Hennessy - no chance, no way!!! They are friends and Froch's alliance with Robert McCracken and the friendship with Hennessy means in my view that bond will never be broken.

If Froch were ever to leave Hennessy he would also have to leave his trainer - simply wont happen - this thread is almost as stupid as Woods fighting Cleverly - its not going to happen.

Spud,
I know exactly what you're saying mate and it won't be exactly a shock if you're bang on the money.
It's just the source of the rumour is sound, and I can't help hearing what I heard at the Brodie show.
Boxing in the UK is in a bit of termoil at the moment and in these tough economic times nothing would surprise me.

When Jeff first raised this issue I dismissed it out of hand.
However it's given more credance the more it's talked about in boxing circles.
I can tell you the rumour mill was in full flow at Hatton's recent show featuring Brodie.
This is a boxing forum for fans.
That's what I am - nothing more nothing less.
As a boxing fan I think if this turns out to be right it's worth talking about.
What's patronising about that ?
As for your comment about Rhodes, what the f**k has he got to do with this ?
Do you work for Meaty Mick or sommat ?
Very touchy response but as a matter of interest what's your take on it ?
For the record if it turns out to be fanciful I wont be surprised.
its the way you word your posts.thats all
if i did it like that
id expect stick
and no,i have never met mick in my life
i know a lot of people in yorkshire boxing gym's though...

I also know what your saying too mate - I suppose my heart is ruling my head here.

Let me explain - there are very few boxers who stay with their promoters and trainers throughout their careers - Woods & Hobson is an example - I am sure there are others - and if I could ever choose another one it would be Carl Froch.

Twenty Six, me and you have both had conversations over the years and I have lost count the amount of times we have agreed on the expression - "Never be surprised what goes on in boxing" - another one is "Never say never".

However I was with the Hennessy Camp in the first couple of years - the one thing all of those lads have is loyalty - to each other, to McCracken and to Hennessy and thus I would be truly stunned if Froch were to leave the camp - under any circumstances - yes if TV has dried up that would test Froch's loyalty to the hilt - but he has just signed up for this Super Middleweight tournament and with that comes TV - certainly from the American side of things and the money is there - so - I simply cannot understand why Froch would want to leave.

If TV has dried up for Hennessy and some of the other lads wanted to leave I could just about get my head around that - but Froch and this tournament means money is there so why leave now?

For me the most important thing concerning Froch/McCracken & Hennessy is that bond of friendship - I simply could not get my head aroud things if there was a split - for me it would be one of the biggest shocks in recent years. Another important thing - Hennessy has always treated Froch extremely well - both on a personal and business level - therein is another reason why I could not comprehend a split.

I will state it again - Hennessy in my view treats his boxers very well indeed - he talks to people at a level everyone understands - he is not stuck up and says things how it is and despite my own personal gripe with him which is insignificant - on the whole I think Hennessy is a top promoter and the level of trust I feel is there between Hennessy and Froch - means if there is a split I will state again I will be truly stunned.

I want to add something else - rumours - bloody hell Twenty six - both of us have heard quite a few over the last 10 years or so - a lot of them true - and whilst I acknowledge yours has come from a very good source - how about this for a trail of thought - perhaps your source is stirring the pot somewhat!!! - I am sure you will agree - boxing could not survive without the rumour mill and the sh*t stirring!!! :TU:

Lost count the number of times I have been fed info to stir things up a bit!!! :TU:

I must admit I can't see what's patronising about Twenty Six's posts - I always enjoy reading what he's got to say and he's always seemed full of integrity (no, we don't know one another!).

Neither do I Mickey.
Listen I take on board what you say.
Being involved in legal matters means sometimes I might come across wrongly in my written word.
However I've never deliberately come on here to talk down to anyone - other than the odd ruck with certain posters - but we all have that, and in my case often it's tongue in cheek.
I genuinely thought the subject was worth a debate.
Anyway onwards and upwards.

You would hope so, Leforge.
But as things stand, no UK coverage.

Seems strange to me. I presume Warren two shows in October are on sky as they on Friday nights!

I was told he didn't have all of his medical requirements into the Boxing Board of Control in time. Shame for Barnes as he has been out for a while now.
