I am so sick of the complete mismatches that I have really lost a lot of interest in Australian boxing. I still watch a lot of US and Euro fights but Aussie fighters, especially Mundine have totally turned me off the Aussie scene. They fight outmatched opponents for interim or IBO or WBF straps and the main stream press reports on them as if they are Sugar Ray Robinson.

I can order a UFC card for $39.95 and get 5 great fights or order a Mundine card for $49.95 and get not even an average fight. I can stream US and Euro fights straight off the web for a few dollars and get at least 2 or 3 great fights or pay $49.95 for a Hopoate fight. It's a complete joke and it makes me feel bad for the young guys who just want a shot. I can understand why guys like Katsidis get the fornicate out of Aus to further their career. I hope Lenny follows him.

Australia used to be a Mecca, back in the 30's, 40's and 50's there was a stream of Euro and Yank fighters who came out here to fight, now we get the dregs.

i would disagree there mate, i think australian boxing is in pretty bad shape ATM,
Darchinyan is good but hes gettin old, especially for a smaller fighter.
mundine, soliman, green, Meehan are all past their best, briggs and rabah retired.
the only other bright lights besided Vic are Bika and katsidis, and maybe Dib as well but im not sold on him.
lenny is a good prospect but ive learned not to get to exited bout aussie prospects

Fair play....However i still think there's better talent know than a decade ago.

I think Rabah is still going strong he's been fighting out of Italy and France.

I give praise to Lenny as well, but i really like the look of Omotoso.
