That's because it can't be checked out. A lot of celebrity bodyguards say they were in special forces but if you wanted to check it out it would just say what unit they served in originally even if they did serve with special forces.tonyevs wrote:Seems that every guy who spent time on the weights used to box - and every guy who spent time in the armed forces used to be in the SAS

What about Steven Segal, he was a navy cook! Hardest god damn cook on the planet! Nobody beats him in the kitchen. He would tear Gordon Ramsey a new frickin A-hole!Carlos-Wigan wrote:Whats wrong with that? Hardest job in the British army!tonyevs wrote:

From Chris Ryan(one of the Bravo Two Zero team) "Sometimes it seems that London is full of SAS guys looking for the big bodyguarding contracts - the £1,000-a-day jobs. The joke is that about half of the men doing it aren't even SAS and there's no way of checking up. Because the Regiment is secret, there's no central registry. One bodyguard I know claims to have been a major and has even awarded himself the Military Cross. He was nowhere near the SAS, never won a medal but he still gets away with it."NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:Feck me!! That's alarming. You just know that's going to get right royally ripped the f*ck off. I enjoyed Duncan Faulkner's, First Into Action, if you haven't read it. Now he was Special Forces....although on the basis of your claim I'm now wondering if he was just a good f*cking story-teller

I remember watching that 'The Games' I think Buncie was involved. Anyway, The Rickitt guy got them black eyes by f'ing up a dive from the top board and landing face first.SPLATAsterix wrote:

How tall is he? He looks like he should be fighting at about 10 stone...
He's obviously full of it, ive known plenty of boxers in the past and i don't think any of then took 19 seconds to do the 100 m, i could do it in 13.5 when i was 14. I think it's fair to say the only training this guy ever did was sit up's in his mums house.Carlos-Wigan wrote:Thank you!ciscokid wrote:18.91 - I'm sure most middles would struggle with beating a time like that...Nightmare Roy wrote:He could well of been a boxing champion, the guy is a natural athlete,

He is 5ft 11ins - I read it somewhere when trying to scour the net for information about this non existent boxing career.
Most people embellish a little to make mundane achievements look better but to tell the Kiwis that he was a national champion when he was no such thing - thats a biiiiiiiiiiig lie, and I am suprised no-one over there has bothered to check this out but then it makes the French saying true 'It is easier to lie when you come from afar'
Anyway - there will be news on this pretty soon - its going to be worth waiting for!
