I cannot see Haye signing with King - King doesn't have the clout he did in the mid nineties, and is a diminished force especially where the heavyweight division is concerned.

King used to have the division sewn up to the extent that if you wanted a shot, you almost had to sign to king to get the shot.

Lewis I think was the beginning of the end, he showed other fighters that they could go it alone, and then losing the court case with Kushner over Rahman also put the boot in.

Now the networks aren't prepared to back King to the hilt either he doesn't have the resources he once had and I think Haye simply doesn't need him.

Ruiz is with King isn't he? However, he cannot really hold anything over Haye, as Haye is the champ.
How come King was promoting the Nurenborg fight? He must have his claws into one of the fighters
He promoted Valuev - by far the worst of the belt holders - now he has nothing unless Haye gave him options.
Would King have been willing to allow this volontary defence without Haye signing up for options?
He is down to fight another King fighter next, in a fight only the King camp want!

OK, let's ask it:

how much of his career did he have to give away, and to whom, to get the shot at valuev?

do the likes of king, sauerland, have a piece of him? has he made a mess of it by getting in with GBP, too?

or is that sun article all bollocks?

Or are heavyweight title shots just given away free without any options??
