That was the greatest live fight that I have ever seen in my lifetime. The anticipation, the build up, the fight itself the dramatic finish and two all time pound per pound great boxers going at it in their respective primes was unbelievable.Titan wrote: ↑09 Nov 2009, 14:25So much was displayed in that fight. Heart, chin, skills, power, speed and a change of style's from Leonard to come back and knock Hearns out. Gotta love it.elmersalsa wrote:Leonard vs Hearns I
Louis vs Conn I
Hagler vs Hearns
Ali vs Frazier III
Ali vs Frazier I
Duran vs Barkley
These are the fights I pick as my favorites. If I pick ONLY one, it would be Leonard vs Hearns I.
I like this fight much more than Duran vs Leonard I in 1980 for some reason.

Chacon vs Bazooka Limon IV from 1982 was also the best fight that I have ever seen in my lifetime. Leonard vs Hearns I in 1981 edges it for me because I saw live and in via satellite and in living color. Chacon vs Bazooka Limon IV, was seen on tape delayed days later.

Yeah, hard to see how it can ever be beat. Two undefeated undisputed atg heavyweight champions at Madison Square Garden, fighting 15 awesome rounds of give and take.

I lean towards Pep-Saddler II because Pep, destroyed by Saddler in their first fight, turned back the clock with a vintage performance.
