Still going with SRL via late stoppage or pretty conclusive and clear UD.
The worst thing for Mayweather would be to give it a go, keeping it close after about 6-8 rounds. SRL would really turn up the heat and would probalby stop Mayweather, on his feet and under fire.
If Mayweather gets intimidated, which is possible once he feels the speed and power that a prime SRL carries, he could just clam up and lose a pretty straight forward decision. Either way, still got SRL big in this one.

with that said, srl wins by wide UD
Leonard proved himself against the elite, Mayweather's best opponent has been a 35 yr old semi retired ODLH, who was always a hot & cold fighters.
His defence has been 'spectacular' against a poor level of opponents. Leonard, Hearns, Duran and Benitez are on another planet to a 40 year old Shane Mosely (who btw nearly knocked Mayweather's block off!)

I prefer Martinez, Williams, Pac, Morales…they remind me more of the guys from an era when the greats were far more offensive and took more risks.
Am I suffering from nostalgia syndrome?
You might be suffering from nostalgia syndrome, but that's not a bad thing.
It's remembering what the likes of SRL for example went through in order to win fight & the gambles they took in order to achieve glory.
That's what boxing is about for me & there's nothing wrong with wishing that more of today's top fighters were like that.

Pretty Boy Floyd is not in Sugar Ray Leonard's class.

Would like feedback. Who wins and why. Sugar has 2" height and reach advantage.

I see Floyd winning the early rounds with sharp counter punching and check left hooks to the body and head. I see Sugar Ray getting desperate and throwing more combinations to win the rounds. I see a late rally by Sugar in rounds 10-12 with Floyd winning a very close fight.

SRL is 5' 10", that makes him more than 2" taller than Mayweather.
