rant ended
Thats damn nice of you Eric, charging them money to see themselves in action - serious question Eric - are any of these boxers you film entitled to royalties or performing fees?
I think you are justified in your rant - what selfish bastards! Seeing as you make a few quid on the back of their performances and all.

You are such a wit Eric..
Hey, as long as all boxers reading this forum know they are entitled to royalties from films sold featuring themselves performing then thats all good.

I watched Fewkes v Haywood and must be honest and say I think John won it, the ref gave a draw. It was a cracking bout that went on late, great sportsmanship between them, which was a feature all night. Thought Booth and Marsh plus Hammond and Conception were a credit to the sport after their fights.
Carl dominated and won on points against Al Hamidi. His jab worked well but he was a little heavy and felt his timing was off. Sounded refreshed and glad to be back, he's become a dad during the break of nearly two years. Gary Sykes won on points and is waiting for a Board meeting this week to see if Burns will vacate the British title and he'll get a shot at the vacant title.
The Smith family were all out to support Paul Edwards who stepped up a level to beat Andy Bell. Curtis Valentine looked strong but a bit crude, apparently Shane McGuigan beat him in the amateurs.
good insight cheers ed

Do you think we might see Oakey v Bellew for the vacant Commonwealth?

The right of the performer is paramount in British law Eric. 8) You know that!
Lets take a hypothetical situation - you are at a show and a boxer (s) comes over to you before his or her bout and asks politely not to film their bout - for whatever reason - what do you say?

That'd be a good fight for Bellew. I'd want him to fight McKenzie, McIntosh or Oakey.

bit uncalled for from bellew. ovill is a top bloke and them kind of games arn't going to make a guy like mckenzie get in the ring with him.

that slit throat thingy won't get him a fight with mckenzie tho. mckenzie will laugh that off and probs get a british title shot

if it was some1 that would react to a gesture like that then fair enough

Is Mckenzie not a frank Maloney boxer???????????will he want that fight on wazza show when he could stage it?

If Bellew v Mckenzie gets made it should be a cracker.
I was at the Mckenzie fight with Bob Ajasafe last year, and Ovill looked like he was going to take his head off in the first two rounds but after that he seemed to run out of ideas a bit.
i still thought he'd done enough to win as Bob was knackered in the last rounds but Ovill does seem beatable once opponents get over the dangerous early rounds.

i really dont think ovil has that mentality, the guy has vastly improved & has damaged some big name fighters of recent where his confidence must be sky high.you think he'll be worried about some untested rookie???
i feel bellew is ready & it should answer alot of questions of bellew.mckenzie is in his prime.

All you have to do when some 6 x 3s kid asks you for a film is give them a damn film! You are making money off the back of them and have been doing it for years - its the least you can do!

i think there's a chance eric gets nothing if it aint used, but to not supply the fighter with a dvd is a joke as eric should recieve payment for filming regardless. maybe people might wise up to copy wrights & may not want to be filmed.
