Well the ref had it 40-37 and his opinion is the only one that counts. Get over it, Gonzalez didn't win the fight and didn't deserve to win the fight. He is young and will bounce back from this, just needs to up his workrate and aggression a bit.

With no disrespect to either, for a professional contest, it was very scrappy indeed.

Had the look of an unlicenced bout.

I think Boxing News did a poor job of scoring if they had it a draw then. Look at the results of the poll for the general public opinion. I don't see how Gonzalez could be given more than one round.

general public what a few people on here you upset because someone else didnt see it your way to, fights are looked at in different way, as stated by delany, refs tend to go for the cleaner work in a scrappy affair but not in this case, you scored it for all the rabbit punches in the back of the head and he through loads to the wind, but others look at the punches (clean) technical shots thrown and landed by gonzalez, win/draw/lose its how you saw it and thats how boxing scene saw it and others differ to,

Third time lucky? Do you know Gonzalez personally?

Yes, fights are looked at in a different way. I couldn't give a f*ck how BN or BS saw it. This poll is indicative of how people saw it on here.

I really can't believe how this thread has run and run.
Doesn't really matter what anyone thinks now, it's a week since the fight and the result still says Adrian got beat.
To be fair, it was a crap fight, Ancliffe may not be technically fantastic but for all Adrians skills and ability he didn't do enough to impress.

All the biased bs on here doesn't help the kid as it reflects badly on him himself and possibly turns people a little off him.

Back to the drawing board, learn the game, learn how to implement your skills and come back a better fighter.

Bottom line is whether he got beat or not in peoples varying eyes, he didn't box well at all, didn't impress at all against a journeyman who he could have and should have looked good against.

He's only a baby so can and will come again as long as he learns from his loss.

You're so right, David. It's been pointed out that the few people on here ranting and dragging this out are either personal friends or relatives of the kid.

I can guarantee you that a lot of the shite on here means that next and subsequent times he's out, a lot of people from here will be supporting his opponent, simply because Gonzalez's people have insulted a lot of us.

it would be a shame if that was the case because he is a good kid and a talented boxer.

I'd just like to see him back in the ring and winning to be honest.

Gonzalez didn't do anything. Maybe he thought he should win because he was the house fighter and had the more expensive shorts.
