I hope Sprott can get a British promoter. On his showing against Audley he could get some credit by beating a guy like Paolo Vidoz who was a European champ but has slipped, or some American imports before taking on the British up and comers off the back of some decent wins.

Jeff Thomas wrote:Really like this guy, despite looking like a scary mofo, he comes across as such a gentleman- he was really gratious in defeat tonight and has had a fabulous little career for himself.

Wins over Harrison (KO3), unbeaten Dettweiler (W12), Danny Williams (W12), Colin Kenna (KO1), Mark Potter (KO3), Mike Holdan (KO4), Pele Reid (KO7) and Timo Hoffman (W8). And all this from a man brutally exposed when 11-0 against a 4-4 Harry Senior... stopped with body shots in six.

Sprott well done.... what a great domestic fighter you've been. Hope he rebounds ok from the Harrison loss.

I was just reading this think "What!? Sprott won tonight. Am I loosing my mind or something?" .....then I looked at the date.

I fancied him, but returns were not worth it for me to risk a big one. How much you won?

He called the Klits out after. Who knows them better than their sparring partners.

I'd like to see him in for the Euro again but this whole thing of 'Prizefighter gets you a title shot' needs nipping in the bud IMO.

Great pic of Michael getting the verdict by Leigh Dawney here, by the way:

That performance was every bit as poor as Harrison's against Williams in the first fight, yet as usual people forgive the "nice bloke" but still look for rope to hang Audley with.

Just about every other British HW of the same vintage has been guilty at some point of the things Harrison has been crucified for.

Agreed. Audley is the exception, not the rule, due to his big-name status, and even then it was the Euro win that led to the world title shot, not the Prizefighter win.
